I wonder if we might buy Eriksen to mold him into a player similar to Willian. He's got a similar skillset, albeit less consistent (which is a moot point as most 21 year olds are, and if he weren't we would have no shot at getting him). Eriksen and Lamela would be pretty solid.
Isn't Willian significantly faster?

I do agree though, those two would make the loss tolerable. Would still need to beef up defense but it would be a top class attack. May be too thin if Soldado goes down though.

Willian is quicker for sure. But I think the biggest thing Willian would have provided us is a bit of creativity/fluidity in attack. He played everywhere for Shakhtar and Eriksen is capable of playing out wide and through the middle in a similar fashion. He's also got enough pace to still be effective in 1 on 1 situations against EPL defenders (his dribbling will obviously help as well).

But, Eriksen, Lamela, Chiriches/Ilori and Coentrao would be a great return after a Bale sale. That would solidify our squad moving forward and address the remaining needs. The next part would be getting the most out of the new signings quickly so we don't get off to another slow start.

Ronaldo is probably waiting on how much Bale will earn as I think he wants to be highest earner at RM.
I think it is bye bye Bale.
Man U is interested in Modric and others in RM sp that could raise some cash.
I think it is installments + player (FC) for Bale and has been agreed.
Now for Willian or Eriksen or Lamela - I believe any 1 or 2 of the 3.
I know that Eriksen was told to sit tight and wait...maybe by next week, we'll definitely know now.

That is the problem... They need to unload 1 big signing to stump up the cash. If a big name is linked, there will be news.... So far no one in Madrid wants to move except Coentrao.

Levy won't sell Bale for 6 yr installment. Bale probably had agreed on personal terms..... So what.

I think we will go out to woo Lamela regardless of Bale and Eriksen in the last week of TW.

This is the most realistic scenario....

Honestly at the price mooted Eriksen is a no brainer.

I also trust that AVB can get the team playing together well. Paulinho and Soldado have already looked like quite a team, and I get the feeling Paulinho could slot into any team seamlessly, he is such a smooth and class player. #somehomo

I think you have it reversed, Eriksen will be looked at regardless, Lamela has to be reliant on Bale.

Yeah, I think our other players will need to get used to having a midfielder that really likes to get in the box almost like a second striker. I thought he was brilliant against Espanyol and he's only going to get better.

If we sell Bale, one way or another we need to get a player from them out of it. Whether that be Coentrao in a separate deal, Morata in the deal, I don't care. We need a player in return. Obviously, it'd be great to get Morata in the Bale deal and have Coentrao come to us separately to absolve the Modric debt, but that seems a bit too pie in the sky, despite us giving up one of the most marketable players around now.

I do not believe that the signings of the 4 players we bought were Bale's money. We had this money for some time.
I do believe that the new expensive signings will be from Bale's sale money.

IMO we have upgraded with the new signings and are selling the players to recoup some of our investments.

It is Morata we liked and FC as a replacement for LB.
Morata is not for sale apparently!

I would think that Morata must still be in the equation along with Coentrao simply because we haven't really been linked with a left back and a young up and coming striker that we desperately need.
If we can also get 2 out of Eriksen,Lamela,Pjanic and Willian,we will be set for the next 4 or 5 years.

Which is absolute horseshit considering who we are giving up in this deal.
Agreed. They want a developed jewel but don't want to give up theirs in the pipeline. And installments. And the Marca horseshit.

This is where not buying a striker a few years ago to propel us into regular CL play has really stung us. Players heads get turned. They're mercenaries, I get it. Levy boned us, but that's all in the past. He can make up for it now by gutting those fucking dirtbags if they want Bale.

£85m
3 installments
Morata
plus Coentrao to wipe the Modric balance

Take it or get humbled by Barcelona again, cocksuckers.

If I was the Spurs chairman I would have greeted that news with a swift "well fuck you and the fucking horse you rode in on amigo".

I'd probably be driven out of the club within a week too.

I doubt that we've had a deal under wraps. The intention to do the deal quite possibly.

What if Real and Spurs had agreed the deal weeks ago,DL makes RM agree to silence and the official signing will be on the 31st august as part of the deal.
That ,like its already been mooted, gives us time to bring in our targets without the obvious rise in prices if everyone knows we have 90m .

That sort of explains the following..which didn't add up to me....

Why Bale has all of a sudden become a '****' ...which i don't believe he is.
Why Bale won't be risked.
Why we are buying like mad.
Why ,out of character, it leaks out that J.Lewis has given the club 50m interest free for players, maybe so as to avoid suspision as to where the money is coming from, yes we have money from tv and sales, but we are not done yet and Avb said himself in the Telegraph that Baldini will bring in more hopefully, and the rumours are they are 'big'.

I believe RM and DL have done the deal.....otherwise it doesn't make sense...for starters, do we really believe DL would allow Bale to miss 3 games of the season, cos its bollox IMO that he is injured.
