He’s a weird one Grealish. He moves and acts like he’s the absolute dogs bollocks, but when you break it down he’s done absolutely nothing at the highest level in the domestic game so far

He clearly has talent but maybe not enough talent to make a sustained impact at premier league level?

Fair chance he's going to end up as this generations Matt Le Tissier (who ended up with just 8 England caps)

Well maybe in terms of amount of caps, but certainly not in terms of quality or goals etc

Not fit to lace Le Tiss’ boots

When we played Villa, Grealish stood out like a sore thumb as not good enough for us. He looked completely out of his depth in that game and had some real stupid moments that cost them.

Maybe he would be better in a team with better players around him but for me, he doesn't look premier league level. Well he tries to look premier league level but that doesn't convert with the performance on the field.

The worst two words in the lexicon of any football fan has to be "International Break". The season has only just started and we're already taking two weeks out to play a couple of pointless games against a couple of minnows. International football should be like Jury Duty. All the English players should be drafted at random to play international games. That way those that enjoy watching dull, one sided qualifiers can fill their boots up, while the rest of us don't have to worry about Kane and Dele getting injured.

Lol Wan-Bissaka getting into the Man U culture already and withdrawing with a back injury! ???

Yep - Footballing Shocker...Man U player pulls out of International match with spurious back injury only to be perfectly fit for the next premier league fixture... :cautious:

It's mental that even after the regulations changed so the England doctors, not the club doctors, are the ones who make the decision, this stuff still happens with players from certain clubs, especially Man U.

Brown envelopes everywhere.

If nothing else, surely they can see that having an international break right as everyone is getting into the swing of things for the season is just stupid timing.

I don't think there's any other slots you can put the intl break in is there?

What difference does it make if they suspend the games in e.g. November rather than now? Taking 2 weeks off is taking 2 weeks off regardless of when they do it surely? And if the answer is "because of the league cup" then to be honest that's just yet another in a long line of reasons why the league cup needs doing away with IMO.

Pulling out of a squad with a fake injury isn’t advisable when it comes to England thesedays, especially when you’re a right back ( England have about 30 options there! )

I think a front three of Sterling/Kane/Sancho can actually win us something.

We have a good squad no doubt about it. I would think we would have to be among the favourites for Euro 2020

never saw LeTissier play but read his wiki page. How the heck did a guy who scored that many goals in the top flight get only 8 caps?

He was unappreciated back then, England had this fixation with 4-4-2 and he never really fit into a playing style or a formation. He was called lazy and was seen as a luxury player/maverick because people didn't know what no10's were.

Also I remember he got called up to England B and saw it as an insult and subsequently got black listed by the FA for turning it down.
