Marca just helping Real save face. He's so cheap cos he's injured.
That was my thought too, possibly even an effort to embarrass Bale on his way out. Marca is Real's mouthpiece, Real dislike Bale immensely, so it's not a massive leap to think that Marca would write stuff to make Real look good and us/Bale look bad.

I mean a full medical can easily be over 2-3 days. Yes, if the deadline is approaching they skip out on, well, most stuff but in this case, with Bale's history, we will probably want to be very thorough, know about his conditioning etc. Like, it absolutely wouldn't surprise me if some was done in Madrid, and then finished off here. It isn't about 'not being comprehensive' it is about how these things take a lot of time.

Right, but why would we go with all of this buildup if there was going to then be a second medical, especially on a player with his injury history. It seems like we are setting ourselves up for a fall.

They couldn't have told the journo's earlier??
TBH given some of the shite some journo's pull I'm happy to waste their time, especially bloody sky/clickbait radio, maybe next time they wanting an exclusive going forwards they'll start putting together some neutral punditry for a change.

The fans have built it up, the club have been quietly doing their business

What a shambles......The club had a perfect opportunity to showcase itself and it fucked it up

Who gives a shit? And if you do, why do you? The club have done absolutely nothing to cause anyone to expect any announcement of anything today. Any expectations that were set were objectively done by people outside the club, i.e. people filming Bale arriving, tracking his flight, writing articles etc. None of that is prompted by the club, that is others prerogative but it's hardly like the club texted Jim White and told him to send his mates down with a camera, they did that of their own volition. The club can announce whenever it wants, not when a bunch of nerds (and I include myself in that) huddling around their laptops want it to!

Got bored so watched his best 30 goals for Madrid on YouTube. He can score goals that no one else in the team are capable of. If he can stay fit, we can have a hell of a season.
Think you and others would maybe appreciate this gem, shows flashes of Bale at his best both here and at Real all them top moments the CL goal that west ham beauty.Imo the accompanying tunes are very appropriate highlights Bales got unfinished business atleast that's my thoughts when watching it.Figured timely reminder of whose coming home would be nice ?

That's just your disappointment coming out :D

Tomorrow, it'll be just as big a deal.

Sometimes I wonder if anyone has seen SSN before. I mean it’s just hyperbole on a loop every hour, every day of the week.

It’s not like tomorrow they are just going to say “Oh yeah, by the way Bale has signed. Now for the weather forecast.”

Marca just helping Real save face. He's so cheap cos he's injured.

Journalist sensationalism at its finest:

"Not 100% match fit and ready to perform at his best for about a month" --------> "Out injured for a month"

By tomorrow some reputable media source will be claiming Real flogged us a cripple who will never be able to walk again. :bored:

I don't care about the first tweet. I'm more interested in the papers covering Bale expecting an announcement overnight.

Would have rathered the announcement today, obviously, but when it gets past 6 or 7 I think I'd just rather wait until the next morning so you have the whole day to enjoy it.

Is it to be good tomorrow though? Need the grass cut?

Club didn't need to showcase itself. All of the THFC Forums have been blowing up since Tuesday. He was in the front seat of the car going in to the training ground.

The announcement will come. It's a really big deal. Tell me you all didn't feel a huge lift with seeing him at the ground?

Great days ahead

The club has done this so often, I'm surprise that so many of you guys have forgotten. Some times the journey is better than the end result. I don't believe that to be the case here but just enjoy the gag for what it is. #COYS !
