Lovely Kit
That was a pretty good team
Gallas was a great defender
I forgot Defoe was such a legend

I often wonder if Defoe would fit the bill as a back up/additional striker for us now. His performances at Rangers would suggest hes still got it, and I think he would accept being a number two to Kane. Seeing him getting on the end of a Bale through ball would be great!

Sincerely hope Gareth has not lost is touch at free kicks close to goal, maybe my memory is poor but when did we last score from a free kick outside the box.

Eriksen against Norwich last season, I believe, but we haven't had anywhere near the consistency of Bale's free-kicks since he left. There are very few players in the world that can hit the target from a set-piece as well as he did for us.

Probably more recently than from a free-kick inside the box.
P.S. Lamela scored one in pre-season recently but I'd be shocked if Bale isn't taking everything when on the pitch.

He bulked up a lot when he went to Madrid but he's much slimmer now. I'm hoping he (or the fitness coaches he's been working with at Madrid) have done that specifically to help keep some pace as he ages.
