I don't believe this bale talk for 1 second, the joke is, if we have money for bale and wages, why not use half of it for a realistic target instead winding everyone up.

The issue is who? Who is a realistic target we can get in Jan that's worth £50/60m + the extra 20-25% premium you pay in Jan? On top of that its got to be someone who knows when Kane is back they become #2 in a one strike system. All the top clubs are struggling to find a back up striker. Utd are in for sodding Josh King who has been injured since Dec and scored 3 goals this season. Its not easy and availability of players like Bale in Jan are very rare.

Piatek and the fella from sociedad we're realistic in my view. There are players available without breaking the bank. But instead we will spend the day thinking bale is coming then get told "we just couldn't get it over the line"
