Here we go. For a number of reasons

1) they ask it's not shared
2) it's a closed forum
3) it will affect people's livelihood if it appears in the SC ITK and twitter

Let's not let number 3 get in the way of you finding out info though shall we?

Then don't post it on a public forum even if it is closed. It's really that simple

It's not a public forum, it's still generally a large group of friends. And it's closed.
It's still an Internet forum which allows people to join even if on a limited basis and as such if someone posts on there it is very much in the public domain. It's naivety in the extreme to think you can post anywhere on the internet and not think this can be taken elsewhere and viewed by others. When I post on Facebook even though its technically a private account that only my friends can view. I still know that every post I write can be taken and seen by those who are not my friends.

And I've seen that rating Rob.

He's right. I also can't be arsed to argue but there are 200 odd members and about 30 regular posters. There are a load of people on there you don't know. It's a public forum and it's incredibly naive to think otherwise.

Getting back on topic, to legendary ITK.

FTL poster "David" 3 or 4 days before the Arnescum story broke posted a thread on FTL hinting as such to what was happening behind the scenes. I'll never forget the line "I'm so disappointed with it all and need to get away from football for a while". Exactly as I felt when I read about it in the Sunday rags.

It's funny isn't it, out of all the players who have left, Arneson going left me feeling as bad as the lot. Have blocked out much of it, but distinctly remember at the time it felt like we were really going somewhere and this felt like the end of the road.

Care to give a little more in depth for those of us who came along after?

This page has been amusing :-D

Bizness gets burned by Rob, after being pretty arrogant and rude to that fella, followed up by completely ignoring the fact and doing the changing subject very swiftly technique ...

And you, as is your history with me on this board, come in purely to antagonise without any sort of grasp of the situation or the discussions that have occurred previously over PM and on the other board.

So why don't you fcuk off you pathetic gut worm. (y)

There's history Rob. If I said black was black, he'd come in and say it's white.

Anyway, I was trying to move the thread on...

No need for that fella! (although I quite like that as an insult, it's quite cutting!)
I wasn't aware there was any history with you dude (genuine, I don't recall many discussions with you), always thought you were a pretty decent poster actually - just that this page amused me :)

Well, I'm being genuine, I don't recall anything previous, or any history...

Apologies that I've offended you and that you feel that strongly towards.

Just wondering about the Arnesen stuff, as I wasn't a fan at the time. No worries.
We'd brought Frank Arnesen in as DoF at a time when it was considered very 'continental'. He discovered Ronaldo (the Brazilian version) amongst others while in holland, his black book was immense.

We bought large numbers of interesting young players, Santini was sacked as coach but Jol brought through, and it felt like the start of a real project. Loads if good ITK around then, partly due to the number of transfers, and I think football clubs were a lot more leaky back then.

By June next year ('05?) he was crawling across to stamford bridge after being tapped up by abramovic.

The David post was an early sniff of the fact his head had been turned by the Russian crook

And a little bit of the dream died.
