Please for him that he is making a career for himself, how much do home grown championship cb sell for?

We we have Eric, Toby And Sanchez as our main 3 centre backs Season, and cbs don’t get rotated or subbed as much as midfielders or attackers. Personally I can’t see why we need to spend big money on a jan replacement and feel with ccv and japhet in the squad We will have enough cover

CCV is not a Prem player. He may have done well in the lower echelons of the Champ, but from there to the Prem is a step too far.

CCV always seemed to give full effort in his brief number of appearances for us. Very likable but maybe just lacks that bit of quality to make it in the Premier League. Having said that, I just haven't seen enough of him at this level to be sure. Hopefully Jose will have a proper look at him this pre-season and make a call one way or another.

He is 22 years old. And as we know, CBs can sometimes take a bit more time to develop, given that position requires an enormous amount of focus and tends to improve with more experience, as they get better at reading the game.

We didn't see Vertonghen at his very best until he was about 28. It took Rose until he was about 24/25 to be a dependable LB.

Unless he really doesn't have any upside, why not keep him for a couple more years. Continue to loan him out. Perhaps he'll get an opportunity with a PL team next season?

However, if we do sell him, I hope Levy slaps on a whopping sell-on % fee.
