We don't really know if KWP is premiership class but he is one of the junior players that I think Poch handled badly as he should have been out on loan last season. Skipp is the other

Add Onomah to the list. He was an absolute beast at every age level he played for and then suddenly his progression ground to a halt under Poch. Most of the "on reflection" complaints with Poch are pretty subjective but poor handling of the youth players isn't one of them.

Anyway, KWP hasn't done a lot so far but he's had a couple of silky moves and looks like he's settled.

He was done like a kipper for the winning goal. Showed some nice touches and moves in possession but not impressive at all out of possession.

Looked like a player with no confidence & whilst he showed some good touches & better with the ball at his feet, but looked dodgy defensively.

To be fair it was a nice little dink from dyslexic Vardy to move the ball around him... KWP did make it easier than it should've been though.

I really don’t get why he gets so much praise on here, he’s clearly not at our level, at best a lower PL team and I don’t think I’m being harsh in thinking even championship team. He’s far too lightweight and offers nothing really special in defence or attack. Yes he’s a home grown boy but don’t let sentiment cloud your judgement. There’s a reason why Poch and now Jose don’t rate him, he’s just not good enough. The only thing I’m hoping from this loan is that he at least shows enough that we get a decent fee for him.

“ Saints were in need of someone to fit in straight away after offloading Cedric Soares to Arsenal and, in many ways, that is what the 22-year-old did.

Perhaps the most notable aspect of his performance today was the ability he showed when on the ball.

On three occasions, he beat an opponent who was advancing towards him with quick footwork and then looked to push forward when he had got past – promising for a full-back playing in Saints’ current system.

“ As a defender, he will be wanting to improve his numbers from this game after just one successful tackle from three attempted, one interception and one block, but these low numbers could equally have come from him Burnley attacking the through centre rather than via the wings.

Directly up against Walker-Peters for Burnley was winger Dwight McNeil, who has proven himself to be a real asset to Sean Dyche and his side.

He was kept quiet during the game, and this can be seen as a decent job done by Walker-Peters in nullifying one of the visitors’ threats.

“ In all, this was a positive debut from Walker-Peters and he could become a real attacking asset in the current setup given that the advancing full-backs provide width and support.”

I hope he does well there. He’s a nice kid. Has all the skills and while not at our level he has been held back with lack of game time.

I watched him in the youth team years ago and he was head and shoulders above the rest a real special talent, his ability on the ball was superb.

However after watching today he is a long way off, he was incredibly passive and doesn't really get stuck in.

He still has amazing ability and I hope he makes it, but he has to improve on todays performance or he will be dropping down the league's.
