Thought was one of our best players today, except for his stupid penalty. Recovered well after big mistake, same as the Barcelona game. Good going forward, and very speedy stopping Zaha on a few occasions. Evidently, needs to play right back not on the left - duh
I bet my car that it is stiil not enough to get run of games instead of Trips. He is playng good enough to get a chance. He had 3 assists in one game and still is 3 choice when Trips is having brain farts every week and still is 1 choice. When will Poch lose patience? When will KWP lose patience?

Should get the chance to play. Stupid mistake to handball but I think he played a decent game out of position. You don’t need much to perform better than Trippier so hopefully Poch give him a chance on the right.

If Trippier is going to still be 1st or 2nd choice I think it’s better for KWP to go on loan and start 20 games till end of season. Now we’re out of all domestic cups it’s a waste of his time not even making squads and just training. He must be seriously patient or lack belief in his ability as I’d have asked to at least go out on loan by now, I’d probably have asked to leave. It’s not that long a career and he’s 22 soon.

Thought he bounced back very well after the penalty, but even as I'm typing that I feel that I'm being condescending towards him. He'll be 22 in just a few months. He is a grown man in footballing terms.

played ok but why play him left side, I don't understand playing young players out of position, every time he had to check back onto his right foot and was closed down,
I don't think we sent in one good cross yesterday from either side, and don't even get me started on Tripps ((

When you have a right back in your team, one who has shown enough to probably be deserving of a run of games to see if he can develop, playing him in his natural position might be worth a go.

Stunting his possible growth in favor of a natural wing back and an athlete masquerading as a footballer seems to be counter productive.

Hopefully he learns from his brainfart yesterday though, what on earth was that?

He always plays well but makes a bad mistake a match.I thought the palace player would have scored anyway yesterday.

jenas said he was intending to shield wickham's view of the ball by putting his hand out but obviously he misjudged it horribly and ended up volleyballing it away. maybe if he'd had the 70-80 games(regardless of level) he should've had under his belt by now then he wouldn't be making that kind of mistake but instead he's learning on the job .. and usually out of his natural position.

other than the mistake though he did well and don't agree with those saying he was crap. had the highest pass completion of any player on the field, most successful dribbles(as many as townsend and zaha combined), joint most tackles, joint most interceptions. townsend never really troubled him and i remember him getting the better of zaha on a couple of occasions. obviously he's a work in progress but that progress is going to be very slow if he's only playing once every other month, it's getting to the point where poch needs to either put his faith in kwp or let him get his career going elsewhere.

I really would be giving him a run now to see what he can do, then Poch can make decision in summer as to what recruitment is needed at full back.

Neither Trippier or Auroer have been spectacular this season and ideally we need to replace both really but then needs to be seen whether KWP can be first choice over number of matches or whether we really need to go all out for a new first choice.

On other side we need to get someone to push Rose as well and provide like for like, I really wanted Robertson summer Hull went down but alas Liverpool nabbed him. I’d still keep Davies though as looked good as a left-sided centre back in a back four.

For his own good, he should go at this point.

Still a little lightweight. Next season obviously massive for him

Expect him to be our No1 next season otherwise I agree 100%. Hopefully he’s one of those that physically develops late and Poch gives him his chance

KWP may as well leave, for his own sake at the least.

I'd rather he was starting for us however. This is the one Poch move I really disagree with.

So you'd give him a run now, with 8 points separating us, Arsenal, United and Chelsea, 8 games left and us still having to go to Anfield and the Etihad, yeah?

Out of curiosity, do you remove your Trippier-tinted glasses when you sleep?
