To put that in perspective. The 30-35m compensation; would be paid over the duration of his reading years on the contract. In other words, yearly, and not upfront! Unless there is a reduced pay-off settlement. And I doubt that would happen. So technically, he would be paid out for the remaining months, likely kept on salary. And done sort of upfront payment, which I can’t see exceeding 10m, with the balance paid yearly, or monthly. So do not be fooled to think the board would not ditch if things do not change.

I think Levy and the board have to answer one simple question...

Is he still the man for the long term?

If they think yes and are prepared to sacrifice CL for next year, they need to come out and back him.. Barring a relegation battle.

If they're not convinced they should act now, pointless to wait in hope.

It's time to be decisive imo.

The worst thing to do is piddle along just hoping and then the season is totally gone.

Am convinced Levy will cling to Poch for dear life as long as he can. Question is how long will we have to put up with the shitshow before he considers making a move. It’s quite clear that nothing in our performances are changing if team selection and in game management carry on how they are.

Couple that with the fact this has been going on the best part of 10 months I wonder what it will actually take for Levy to pull the trigger. Soon enough the season will be a write off so the sane decision would be sooner rather than later but there seem no signs to indicate Levy is in the Poch out camp.

You all know my stance. He’s got to go. Been saying it for ages.

how on earth he picks Eriksen again who is absolute dog shit and has been for ages. He’s been terrible for so long and in the first 10minutes today he gave the ball away half a dozen times. The bloke is a disgrace. He shouldn’t be anywhere near the side.

he drops our best CM for fucking winks.

Poch is actually doing more harm than good with his selections and tactics. he can’t even recognise the problems that all the fans can see. I’ve no energy left. Keep repeating myself whilst he repeats the same mistakes.

I’m so pissed off. Poch please fuck

seen a stat earlier, lo celso's little 5 min cameo made in total 11 less passes than eriksen in 88! thats so bad!

Interesting how you can't provide a simple answer to explain yourself when you don't make any sense. To quote something you said to someone else - "jog on" with your delusions.

I can expalin it to you .....but i can't understand it for you.....enjoy the rest of the NFL season....fool.

I am more pissed off about going out to Colchester in the League Cup than yesterday. The last trophy we won was the league cup 11 years ago. That is appalling for a club of our size, that was the time I wanted change. It just feels like a matter of time now and is inevitable. We can save this season but change needs to happen within the next 2 weeks minimum.

Here's the problem EastLondonTwit. Unlike you, I understand English, and your reply had nothing to do with what I wrote. If you don't get that then I feel sorry for you. And you can go on all you want about the NFL, but I'm North London born and raised, watch Spurs every week no matter what, and from your comments it's obvious that you are not only the fool, but a jackass on top of that. Enjoy East London.

It's basically a stand off £30m +compensation for sacking him and his staff off and you're probably looking at around the same if not a little more for the new manager. It's either that or miss out on CL qualification costing the club more on and off the pitch.
Yes I agree which as I said to another poster I think is part of the problem

Serious question. Are you willing to write this season off? if it means we rebuild?

I get we’ve been poor for the last 9 month
however within that period we’ve been playing at Wembley had contract issues with senior players made no signing up until the last transfer window finished 4 should of been 3rd with a home win against Everton and got to a CL final.

Believe it or not I want the best for Tottenham . Of course there’s life after Pochettino you hear Mourhino name being mentioned Eddie Howe Southgate Brendon Rodgers Allegri , all would need money all would need to sort out the contractual mess. If Levy want Pochettino it’s very clear he’ll have to back him in the window or pay him off.

Surely that only applies if Poch does not get another job in the intervening time. I think that was the issue with Conte and why he sat it out for a while until his Chelsea contract was paid up.

I don't see why we should when this group of players should have been making strides to close the gap on the top two. We have some players who rather than ship out would benefit from new methods and a new voice.

It happened at Chelsea multiple times. Mourinhos last season they were in free fall and talking about ditching a number of their players, the following season they get a new coach who makes minimal changes and they win the title.

Now ripping things up and rebuilding MAY work out but why go through that when we are so close anyway?

Rebuild for what though? Another 5 years without a trophy? Other teams ala Lester are now catching up with us.

We have a great squad now, even without CE, TA, DR etc...

Even the best managers can have bad spells, under Billy Nick 1964/65 season , away record was abysmal with 1 win 4 draws and 16 defeats , pretty good at home though as we were unbeaten.

And just for the record three of our signings that season were Pat Jennings arrived July 64, Alan Gilzean & Cyril Knowles both in Dec 64.

What the fuck is all this rebuild shit.

It's just more excuses. A few players want to leave, big deal.

This squad should still be more than good enough.

I'm more worried about Kane wanting out because its gone on so long now.
