Judging by this lot? Win the next game. That's the thing with fickle twats. You're only one game away from glory or despair.

This isn’t about one game

It’s about a 10 month decline during which we’ve played like relegation candidates for too many games and evidently gone backwards

If we were to win our next 4 league games would all this hostility towards MP fade?

What does he have to do to get people back on side?

Play 4-2-3-1. Stop playing people that don't want to be here and can't be arsed to put a shift in, such as Eriksen. Improve your in-game tactics and substitutions. If you're not able, seek advice from your team, it's what they're there for. That would be a start.

I didn't think it was that bad a performance on Sunday, especially against a juiced-up Pool. His comments after the games are what's pissing me off. He needs to get back to connecting with the players on a human level, he's gone from putting an arm around their shoulders to being a miserable ****.

I'd love to know who made the decision between Perreira and Aurier to be honest.
Porto I should think.
I think Levy's cheque writing hand got the wobbles and we missed Pereira and then Aurier was a last minute panic buy.
Pereira didn't move until the summer after we bought Aurier (and for the same, or even slightly less, money). The logical conclusion is that Pereira wasn't for sale when we wanted a new RB.

I'm talking about Sunday though. The discussion is Sunday, not generally how bad/good we've been. Sunday was not a shit-show.

I agree he should no longer play Eriksen. I don't want him in our team ever again.

Ndombele vs Winks is a no brainer, I've pointed out on several occassions how I don't think Winks should be part of the spine. I suppose the only reason behind that decision was the fact that Ndombele isn't up to speed yet for a full 90 mins, especially away at Anfield. Personally, I'd have played Sissoko on the right to cover Robertson instead of Eriksen and played Ndombele with Winks perhaps. Still light, but better than playing Eriksen.

I can see the other issues as well, but I cannot agree Sunday was a shit-show.
That's almost the point though, Sunday wasn't a complete shit show.
We were dominated but with a couple of tweaks, we may well have got something out of the game.
Everyone can see that, apart from Poch, or so it seems because he refused to make any changes until it was too late.
That is what's pissed everyone off.

Tbf he played Eriksen because Lamela was injured. Though playing Rose, Eriksen and Aurier in the same team has been a disaster all season. He shouldn’t have done that.

on Everton, I don’tthink we should approach it as if he loses next game, we sack him. One game is really a matter of chance. Any decision on his future should be made on a cold assessment of his performance over time, and whether our problems are solved by a change of manager.

i don’t believe removing Poch helps us. We still have the same poor performing players. Long term we need to rebuild. Poch builtthe best spurs team of my lifetime. I back him to do it again. Heck, no other spurs manager in my lifetime made us anywhere near as good as Poch. And I don’t want to wait another 30 years for another good manager. Good players are plentiful; good managers are rare.
Poch is the one picking players who have no future here. He picked a team with a future here and won 5-0. What happened next game in an absolutely massive match? Drops them all for ones with no future, including one who has not shut his mouth about wanting to leave and has not given 100% for almost a whole year. Just looking at Poch’s team selections over the course of this season, its clear to me he doesn’t want to be the one to build a new team. His pressers have gone from positive in past years to cryptic last half season, to now being increasingly negative. I just dont think he has the fire anymore to manage, really. I think he needs a break from the game for a bit, in all honesty.

The players are performing very poorly, yes. But it’s still a top 3 side on paper and should be doing MUCH better than 10th 3 months into the season. I’d like to get rid of half these players now but we cant and i honestly dont back Levy to replace them after the shit we’ve seen in recent years that the clubs PR machine has managed to spin into being a Poch decision. So our only option is to try to salvage this shower of shit and hire a new manager.

If the definition of madness is trying the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome, then what is it when you try something different once, see that it works, and then go back to doing the previous thing again?

That's kinda how it feels.

Mate, there were people bringing up Christian Gross days yesterday.
Why won’t people listen??? It’s all Mabbutt’s fault, I tells ya! It’s one big conspiracy aimed at making him Lord of Bristol!!!

He keeps doing that thing with his knee and every week some greenhorn who’s only been supporting the club for 20 minutes (when we all know that the most important thing about being a Spurs fan is to have the ‘I lived through 90s Spurs’ Blue Peter badge) says give him more time!

Why do fans keep changing their minds on Mabbsy? We all know that the power to change club personnel rests with us here on SC, so why won’t people stop giving Mabbsy time and just pull the trigger?

It’s all one big put-up job. We’ve actually been playing really well and the results aren’t actually real. In fact, we’ve won every away game since January, including the CL final and Mabbutt has just been using the trophy to prop up his TV stand.

God, it’s so SINPLE!!!!

We rode our luck from min 30, basically when Robertson and to a lesser extent TAA had the freedom of the park. Gazz made some excellent saves (although they were all 'savable' and i'd be disappointed if they went past him) - a more clinical Liverpool and they were 3-1 up at HT.

What infuriates me is every man and his dog could see the problems and where they were coming from, HT was perfect time to fix the setup but did nothing, allowed it to continue and lo and behold we go 2-1 down. We got a chance after the break, didn't take it and the rest was all too predictable.

I agree to an extent what Poch was maybe trying to say, after then pool sat a bit further back, it allowed NDombele to be progressive, but how Eriksen stayed on the pitch is beyond me. Dele wasn't at it either. Instead of showing faith to players who don't want to be here (Eriksen) or are just completely out of form (Dele) do something other than sit and watch your poxy ipad.

I'd winner this 100 times if I could. Hes 26 and coming into his peak years. Much and all as Kane loves the club, hes going to want more than individual honours to show at the end of his career.

He could easily go to City for 200m and Hoover up trophies and he'd probably score 50 goals a season there with the supply he'd get.

you could create a 100 separate profiles if you are that keen

All he needed to do was bring on Ndombele for Dele, move Sissoko to the right push Son to Left inside forward and put Erksen on the Left side of the midfield 4.

Granted, I was rather drunk (it's my latest coping mechanism, to watch through a booze fuelled fug) but I didn't think Aurier was that bad. He seems to be mainly getting lambasted because Mane won a very clever penalty, in my opinion.
He offered something going forward when he got the chance but with Eriksen in front of him, he had absolutely no protection.
Rose, on the other side, was running around like a headless chicken on speed but at least had Son, and sometimes Alli, offering some kind of protection.

I realise that Serge is always capable of a massive brain-fart but considering he was so isolated on Sunday, I think some of the shit being hurled at him is a little harsh.

Still cannot understand why Davies didn't play on the left. He doesn't have the pace of Rose but he can actually defend very well, negating that shortfall.
He also has a decent delivery on him.

I'd have left Dele on because he was trying and defending.
Eriksen was offering absolutely nothing, and probably wouldn't no matter where on the pitch you stick him.
