If we see this from another angle; what`s the chance for Pochettino to convert this team to be great again? Is it realistic at all?

Just want someone to ask poch directly the question as to why he keeps picking eriksen when the whole universe can see he’s turned to shite

“It’s not about one or the other player. I understand why you ask and respect all the opinion.”

So you would be happy replacing Poch with a Manager twice sacked by Chelsea and also sacked by Man United and Real Madrid. What is it they know bout him you don’t I wonder.

With those 3 clubs Mourinho won:
Premier League X3
La Liga
Copa del ray
Supercoppa
FA cup
League cup x4
Europa League
Community shield x2

so why did they all sack him ?

Conflict with the board at United and Real, along with players kicking up a fuss at Chelsea. It's very easy to see fault in Mourinho when its all you're looking for. (Not aimed at you, but the general consensus around here about him seems to be negative.)

Funnily enough Real contacted him about replacing Zidane when things were pretty rocky for them at the beginning of the season. Just goes to show a sacking doesn't necessarily mean a manager is shite.

The conflict with United came down to Woodward buying players that Mourinho didn't ask for, and having to settle for 2nd or 3rd choice players. When you manage United, money and stature aren't a problem so there's no excuse for not obtaining the targets he asked for.

Those are just small explanations which require much more depth to fully understand why Mourinho isn't as bad a manager as people think he is. And on top of all that, he has never failed to win a title at any club he's managed before. That speaks volumes more than a sacking.

I have never suggested he is ‘shit’. But he does have IMO serious personality problems, possibly mental health problems, which inevitably mean his stays are always relatively short. If you just want to win something he is probably our man. If you don’t have unlimited money to spend and want to build something of substance he is definitely not your man.

Mourinho would only come to Spurs after Levy and he agreed to a strategy, including transfers.

And if he did come, win trophies, then go nuts and leave maybe we would be in a better place to attract whomever we wanted?

It can't be a worse position than we are now can it?

Levy is not stupid, he will stick with poch unless we drop into the bottom 3 imo

Ego problems, probably. But being one of the most successful managers of the modern age I think he deserves to be a bit arrogant. We can't be fooled by everything we see and read in the media, Jose is an intelligent man and he knows how to manipulate the press.

None of us know exactly who he is as a person and we definitely can't be saying things like he has mental health issues just because he has an ego problem. Maybe that's exactly what we need at the moment. A strong personality to bring us some silverware and elevate the status of the club so that we can look for a high tier manager if the wheels do eventually fall off. I'd take a couple cups/trophies over a 3 year period even if it did indeed end in disaster.

It's a matter of opinion though and I respect yours and others concerns, but to me our current form and lack of silverware is far more concerning than an egotistical manager coming in and actually shaking things up a bit.

I predict this.

We lose to Red Star which more or less puts us into Europa/out

We then lose to a well drilled and organised SUFC.

That’s when the trigger gets pulled IF results go as I think they will.

I don't disagree with the prediction but I'm still not convinced that it would lead to him getting sacked.
