Yeah you make a good point to be fair. I still think UEFA is corrupt as fuck but you're right, that's not the only reason City etc. are allowed to get away with this. I think the powers that be in football are a perfect storm of corrupt and incompetent though which just makes these kinds of situations all the worse

To be honest with the money involved in football now days tell me what organisations aren’t corrupt in the world of football

Sure this has been mentioned before, but how much of a genius is Levy?

Not selling the naming rights has proven to be a masterstroke. The value of those rights is probably going to be double after our CL final appearance. If we win, it could well be treble.

Win and we're a super club, alongside Europe's elite.

Win and AIA will be associated with our club for decades.
Replicas of today's shirt will sell for 60 years.
Their exposure will be massive and if income matches that leap in brand recognition then their investment in us will have paid handsomely.
They are in pole position for naming rights imo.

Perhaps they'll at least meet us half way and get that red off the home shirt.
The white AIA logo looks very nice on the green away shirt, so there is flexibility.

It will never happen. There is no way the club can get a company to change their logo and pay Spurs for the privilege.

The only reason its white on away shirts is to better standout

This would be as good as any signing this summer.

If Levy’s got anywhere close to the £200m over 10 years then that takes the stadium loan down to £400m-ish which is amazing considering all the problems the project has had.

Club would be in an amazingly healthy state.

So Pablo is saying they’d be pleased if this comes off...so that would mean the big news soon may be club in negotiations etc and it wouldn’t be that the deal had actually been finalized. Or was it supposed to be potential big news soon?

Would appear he's been PMing some of the FTLers and some in the thread are intimating it's Google. Others mentioning Facebook.

Ah, that makes me question the info. No way one of the tech giants sponsor a stadium in my opinion. They don't need to. The only one that could be possible is Amazon, who're moving into football broadcasting. Not sure if that would be a conflict though.

Wasn't there talk of us hosting gaming tournaments though? Might make us interesting to a tech giant.

It's just sort of the opposite of what the likes of Google or Facebook want to do at the moment. They want to quietly increase their scope and influence without coming across like they are these ever-increasing behemoths that threaten the very fabric of our society. (Ron Howard narrator: "They are." )

I’d question the info too, but Google does kind of make sense to me.

A big part of the marketing of the new stadium is that it is packed it is with state of the art technology, so a tech giant would make sense there.

Theirs also been talk of the stadium hosting e gaming tournaments, so again a tech giant would fit with that.

Google are also launching Google Stadia, a gaming streaming service without the need for a console. So sponsorship of a state of the art stadium would be a good fit with that.

It's about brand awareness. Just because you are well known doesn't mean that you stop marketing. If you do you'll find people have moved on to the next brand that has marketed. Everyone loves the next fashionable thing and will jump on the bandwagon. So you have to keep on bombarding people at every opportunity.
The prem reaches every corner of the planet.

Now you may argue that spending the advertising money on other mediums might be better spent. I don't know.

I hadn't considered that point. That might be a good shout....
