The World has gone mad. It's a fucking disgrace. Nike should also be ashamed of themselves as well, trying to act like that to get popularity. There's so many black players and supporters of that team who hadn't even thought about it until it was made a big deal.

Of all the debates about names etc. there are plenty that would be mostly fixed by just changing the logo. But there really is no defending "Redskins". It is just a racial slur, pure and simple. It's a derogatory term about the skin colour of a whole race of people. There's no way if justifying it at all. If there was a "Carolina Negros" would you say that was acceptable? I don't see how "Redskins" is any different personally.

A lot of players opting out. Will be interesting to see how many and how much of a season there will be.

The Pats have had six opt out so far, few folks on social media saying BB is behind it in some instances, gotta love social media!

As a Pats fan i can assure you BB isn't trying to get people to opt out (especially not Hightower or Chung), there is no human way that guy attempts to tank.

I will say it wouldn't surprise me that BB told the players "If you are going to opt out we would hope you do it sooner than later so we can sort out players to fill your slot for the year."

I'd highly doubt it as well. Why bother bringing in Cam if that was the long term plan? Also, tanking for what, when the College season is also facing as many question marks as the NFL.

I do like social media and the likes, takes on this kind of thing.

The numbers of those players also being placed on the Covid list is growing. It's going to be a tough season, if it goes ahead. Be interesting to see what the cap ramifications are if they do start changing the cap number.

Not that I imagine any would, but could Head Coaches opt out too?

I think there will be a bunch of guys who opt out and not for health reasons.

If you are slated to make a high amount of guaranteed money this year and the season is cancelled, you aren't necessarily getting that cash. So opt out now, take your $150k and roll your guaranteed money to next season.

What i am actually waiting to see is how many players opt out as "high risk". One of the "high risk" categories is high blood pressure, how many of the linemen (OL/DL) who are 320lbs+ do you think may actually have high blood pressure? You also get more cash if you opt out as "high risk" (350 as opposed to 150), interesting to see if any of the vet linemen capitalize on it.

CJ Mosely the latest in 'bigger' name players to opt out this season.

He signed an $85million contract in 2019.....he will play his 3rd game for the Jets in 2021.

Matt Stafford is positive for COVID

Looks like Marquise Lee is going to opt out for Pats.....that would be player #7 from the roster.

Ah, shame he's still a name to some ...

The cut off point for this opt out stuff is Tuesday isn't it?

The Bears (team I follow) don't have a starting nose tackle on the roster ... Couple that with the fact we're due to have a 'camp battle' between Trubisky and Foles ... Might be another tough season ahead. I pick the worse teams to follow in sport it seems, from football to cricket ... Meh.
