I can’t believe you’ve picked up no injuries during or prior to the tournament. Getting a bit like Liverpool last season.

Which, of course, you are very happy about, for who would wish injury on anyone, even an opponent? :angelic:

Nah, fuck that. If we play you in a qtr final I want it to be even so that means Itoje, Billy V and Farrell injuries.

If you don’t play us in a qtr final I hope all your players stay healthy so I can watch a fully fit England defeated by NZ. ;)

I know I’m not his biggest fan but Sir Clive really is a grade A prick. He’s a prestigious figure in rugby and his comments about Hodge are not exactly helping. Can’t believe he actually said:

“Has any of those making this decision ever tried stopping someone as powerful as Yato by wrapping their arms around him? Good luck if you try that!”

So, it’s ok to take someone’s head off if they’re powerful. Good one Clive. Also, it’s not like no arm tackles have just been made illegal or anything so where’s he been.

Refs, injuries, the fact that someone looked at them funny.

Will be interesting to see how @E17yid's list of pre-excuses grows throughout the tournament.

Reckon it'll be the fault of Brexit soon :ROFLMAO:

I’m pretty sure I said that even with our first choice 8 and 10 injured I still expect a semi final. And that hasn’t changed with 1 of our first choice locks being ruled out too. If we had those players fit I’d be backing us to get to a final.

I don't see Japan causing an upset there, but it's a test for Ireland.

Neither do I but they’ll put up a better fight than Scotland did. Mind you, they were well below their standards against Russia.

I expect the score to be close at HT then stretch out their lead in the last 20. I’d be surprised, but not shocked, if they put more than 20 points on them, though.

Makes a chang! We have a ridiculous amount of injuries usually. Still plenty of time though

Did Japan rest any of the their players? There was talk that they'd solely focus on beating Scotland after the first round of games.

Aren’t any of you fuckers even slightly optimistic? I’d be buzzing.

Argentina will be more of a test. There have been plenty of unforced errors and penalties conceded so there's a lot to improve on before I personally start getting excited. Good games coming up though.

Yeah, you’ve got to wait til the groups are done. I’m standing by my prediction that you’ll either fuck up against France and Argentina and fail to get out of the group or you’ll win the fucking thing.

I see Francis has been cited. No huge loss for you though.

Didn't think there was anything much in the Francis incident but we can manage without him if needs be. I don't really understand why player tackle at shoulder height anyway since it's always dodgy and never near the ball.

They tackle high to try and stop the quick offloads etc. and to try and force turnovers by holding the player up/stopping them going to ground.
