Tried to pull together a list of genuine/realistic targets for us at GK, RB, CB and CDM as it's pretty clear these are our main problem areas right now. All pretty realistic IMO and plenty of talent available. Pretty much all of them are under 25 years old I believe.

Bolded my personal faves.

GK:

Alban Lafont (Fiorentina)
Predrag Rajkovic (Reims)
Andre Onana (Ajax)
Gianluigi Donnarumma (AC Milan)
Joel Drommel (FC Twente)
Mike Maignan (Lille)

RB:

Denzel Dumfries (PSV)

Max Aarons (Norwich)
Youcef Atal (Nice)
Mitchell Weiser (Leverkusen)
Noussair Mazroui (Ajax)
Sergino Dest (Ajax)
Fabricio Bustos (Independiente)

CB:

Matthias Ginter (Mönchengladbach)
Jonathan Tah (Leverkusen)
Ruben Dias (Benfica)
Dayot Upamecano (RB Leipzig)
Nathen Ake (Bournemouth)

Niklas Stark (Hertha Berlin)
Malang Sarr (Nice)
Nikola Milenkovic (Fiorentina)

CDM:

Lisandro Martinez (Ajax)
Julien Weigl (Dortmund)
Lucas Tousart (Lyon)
Denis Zakaria (Mönchengladbach)
Florian Grillitsch (Hoffenheim)
Sander Berge (Genk)

Yep.

Him and Brandt are just two players that would improve us dramatically.

Both could have been had for under 30m.

All this 'its hard to improve our squad' stuff is just complete nonsense.

Unless the players are holding out for another club.

From what I saw of Berge, the game largely passed him by quite easily. I don’t know if he got better 2nd half, but he just seemed to stroll about playing an easy pass, and rarely getting a foot in, bit disappointed really.

It’s hard to improve the squad if these players don’t want to move to us.

Speculating but sounds like we might have enquired about Brandt and he had his heart set on Dortmund.

He's just not that good. I hope we have other targets because i'd be disappointed if we were to sign him because I think Genk is his level

I like Zakaria, but if that's the pool of DMs we can get then we're in trouble if we can't get Zakaria... would genuinely rather give Skipp a shot than buy Tousart, Grillitsch or Berge

Again last night it's hard to come around Ziyech. What a player. He is EXACTLY what we need.

In our 4231 formation, we always have wrong players playing the RW position. Sometimes it's Eriksen/Son/Sissoko which is hurting us. Lamela is our only hope since Poch refuse to play Lucas, and he's to slow for that position. We need a left footed in that position like Mahrez/Silva/Salah/Bale. Ziyech is exactly that.

No clue as to why no one is in for him.

Totally agree. And he works his ass off. Totally bemused as to why he's not top of people's lists

If it's true Van der Vaart texted Levy about him maybe he'll be ours, esp if buyout clause is true. You'd wonder why nobody else has come in before now though

Buy out clause has now been removed, unfortunately. Signed a new contract over the summer.

In fairness I've just picked a small crop of young CDM's but there are certainly plenty more out there. For example, one I missed off was Boubakary Soumaré, 20 years old, plays for Lille currently and is touted for big things. Julien Laurens last night on the goals show on BT Sport said he's gonna be a superstar.

Spurs need to be looking for a young, strong, athletic CDM that can get about the pitch with ease. Dier seems to have lost a step of pace (and he was never quick) and also looks less agile to me. Wanyama is broken. I'd be happy to see Skipp getting minutes but he's a little on the small side. That said, I feel like the more he plays the better he'll get so I hope Poch puts him in soon.

Aarons for RB
Not sure on CB but there are decent options
Zakaria or Soumare for DM
Ziyech for AM/WF

3 signings there that would improve us immensely and if we got a good CB too we'd be a much better balanced team.
