Wouldn't be nice to see Vdv or Modric leave as they're both quality players but i'd be over the moon if we replaced them with Moutinho and Willian and also Leandro to our strike force.

Its starting to all take shape anyway.

Modric and VDV the big money sales...to bring in the big money buys in Damiao and Moutinho, and to a lesser extent Wiillian.

Very risky though from lecy and AVB.

Fans and media alike will be baying for blood in just a few games if results dont go our way.

Understandably too.

It does worry me slightly, with Dawson openly being touted out and VDV rumours circulating AVB definately needs a win versus WBA to settle the nerves a little.

I have no doubt in my mind we will get this win. Our performance away from home v a tough newcastle side was extremely encouraging and verging on extremely unlucky.

The blue bit is Gards on someone saying Moutinho is done, which makes me wonder what it is dependent on:

@Gards44 a can't remember his name. His claim got retweeted onto my TL so I wasn't looking him up through choice!
@chubbyyid haha that deal is dependent so he is talking nonsense unless levy is doing a levy special where nobody knows!

Do you not remember when Fergie told Heinze he could have a free transfer to a club he'd get games? His agent and him thrashed out a deal with us, got everything agreed, only for Fergie to kick off when he found out about it as he didn't want him to go to Liverpool, so he complained to the FA and took us to court and stopped the transfer from happening. He's so used to getting his own way, always. Look at all the other Managers who suck up to him and people in the media, its sickening. He has far too much, say, power and influence in English football and something should be done about it.
He didn't offer him a free transfer as your suggesting here, and for what it's worth he's 100% correct in not wanting a top defender leave for a bitter rival. Do you seriously think you would have been happy if the boot was on the other foot and SAF tried to get Alonso from you when Rafa was trying to get rid?

There is more chance of the Titanic being raised than a LFC fan agreeing with SAF by the way...

Moutinho is NOT done. AVB still wants him, badly I'm told. But I think we know now this will only happen if we sell #THFC #Catch22

Sell, sell, sell.

Personally, with us interested in Willian and 1 other striker, I think we will need Moutinho more than VDV. Especially at VDV's age and fitness record.

I love him (look at my avatar), but its about the team; and I love THFC more.

Spurvert referred to VDV going being the catch 22 before didn't he?

I have this bad feeling we are going to be short of creativity in CM by the end of this window.

I'm not so sure it will be a case of keeping VDV or getting Moutinho tbh. Makes no sense with Modric going.

£££££ for all his signings I guess, with Moutinho being the really expensive one that the extra boost of cash is required for?

That is my concern at the moment just ahead of needing another striker/forward.

Yes. It seems we need to sell VDV to enable us afford to buy Moutinho. Definitely a catch22.

If we bring in Willian, Isco and Moutinhoi it would soften the blow.

I dont think selling VDV will enable us to buy Moutinho, i think selling Modric will. I think selling VDV is because we would be using him more as a squad player and VDV may not be so happy with that and the price being offerd is something we will look at as i doubt we will get a price like that next year or after that.
