Modric or Dembele?

VDV or Dempsey?

King or Vetonghen?

hmm, was modric any better than dembele when we signed him. In any case we couldnt keep a hold of him.

Why compare VDV to Dempsey and not Sigurdsson as that would be correct.

King of 5 years ago maybe, but King had defo lost it by the end of last season.

Honestly man you need to wind your neck in and stop playing so much football manager.

Not denying Dembele. Great signing. But no Modric replacement. No top striker. I know people blame Harry, but gotta look at Levy. Poor backing once more of his manager. AVB wanted Mourtinho BIG time. He also wanted Willian. He also wanted a top, top striker. Levy failed to deliver. Not pleased.

How the fuck is it poor backing - are you nuts. We nearly bought a new team for fuck sake.

I think some people are over-reacting. Give these guys a chance first. Verts is an upgrade on last year's King. Sure I'd rather VDV over Dempsey and Modric over Dembele but these are two players that are better than Fulham's level and need to be given a chance. If Dempsey bangs them in as regularly as he did at Fulham and Dembele is able to successfuly fill the Modric role then we will be fine!

If you think of any of these players were AVB targets (apart from Lloris possibly) then you are very naive!

do you know AVB well then? If you honestly think our chairman goes and buys players that a manger does not want then it is you my friend who are very naive. Do you live in your own little football manger fantasy land, caught up in all the sky news soap opera.

Even when Levy got VDV he called Harry to run the potential signing buy him.

Fucking excellent chairman, where he has brought us to is unbelievable considering where we were. Great dealer - runs the club extremely well, fiscally prudent - given we don't have a bottomless pit of money, has developed a new training centre, is getting us a new stadium in the middle of a recession, brings fantastic players into the club and still we have idiots complaining.

Completely agree

We have too many blind eyed supporters, We have made massive strides under Levy and Co. If Moutinho deal doesn't go through then we have money to spend in January.. How many times have we ruined our season by not improving in January.. Maybe Levy knows this and plans to strengthen then.

Except we're always told Jan is not a good time to sign top players

Let's see, going to games makes you a die hard supporter... Being a student I am not going to spend £60+ every fortnight to go watch Spurs.. That does not mean i support them less.. It just means i tend to spend the governments loads of things that have more meaning to me. If you live to support Spurs then you need to have a reality check as there is more to life than following a sports team.

P.S. By the term blind eye supporters i am meaning people that only see one side of the picture.

What a bunch of tossers on here. Have a little faith fans. We lost players we couldn't keep, so we move on. Only Chelsea spent more than us in the window, we signed three of the stand out midfielders in the prem last season, out top striker from last year and the France number 1.

We will still be challenging this year so relax a little. We will not sign the likes of Falcao or Llorente, not because of money but because they don't want to play for us. We don't know why deals don't happen and I would assume its a lot more complicated than the likes of you and I could understand not bring football chairman. Come on you spurs, let's show these miserable supporters that they can put the knives away
