Dembele is the current generations version of Kieron Dyer... fantastic talent but made of papier mache lol

He became injury prone at Barca, they're clearly doing something wrong with him.

He has incredible natural ability, I sincerely hope he gets back on track.

Is anyone really making any sort of substantial bid for any player right now with current circumstances? Not sure I believe they are. Plenty of supposed deals happening and being reported over the last few weeks, next to nothing actually happening.

I'd be surprised if anyone took a gamble on Dembele unless it was for a very cut-price deal. Terrible injury record at Barca!

Rumours:

BARCA WANT FOYTH
Yes, that Foyth. Tottenham’s Juan Foyth is not wanted at Tottenham – he has not kicked a ball for the club in 2020 and has not been in a single Premier League or Champions League squad since being hauled off at half-time of the 2-2 draw with Norwich in December – but he might be wanted by Barcelona, according to the Mirror.

Apparently, ‘Barcelona’s interest comes with the Spanish giants ready to offload centre backs Samuel Umtiti or Jean-Clair Todibo. Should they do so Foyth is being seen as a relatively cheap replacement.’

ITALIAN SWAP SHOP FOR SPURS?
Tottenham might have a whole new defence by the end of the summer. Is the summer still a thing? According to Tuttomercato, Jose Mourinho will look to complete a double Serie A deal by signing Alex Sandro and Timothy Castagne from Juventus and Atalanta. Has there ever been a time when Mourinho did not want to sign Alex Sandro?

Apparently Spurs could offer Serge Aurier and a load of cash for Sandro, while there is also a suggestion that Danny Rose could be swapped for Mattia De Sciglio, who can play in either full-back positions. Having spent years trying to move north, we are not sure Rose could be tempted to Italy…

I'd be pretty confident that if Foyth were to go to Barca, in a couple of season's time this place would be full of people asking wtf we were thinking when we let it happen.

I’d sell Lamela ( too injury prone ) and Moura ( too inconsistent) to raise money if need be for Osinhem. He can play in their positions also.

You'd do well to get any money for Lamela in a normal market, never mind post corona.

I think it’s certainly a possibility but I’m not sure he’ll get strong enough to be a really good CB or cut out the mistakes and rash decisions. Certainly has the talent but not sure he’ll reach his potential.

Not all players work in all leagues. Foyth is clearly talented but he doesn't get anything like the time on the ball he needs to be a success in the PL and when under pressure he makes mistakes. I'm sure he would be a great success in other leagues but they doesn't mean we shouldn't sell him and find someone more suited.

He may have less injuries in a lesser physically demanding league like Spain or Italy ( I’m sure he’d have some suitors there ).

Everton are building a £500m stadium soon - so they'll likely have transfer problems down the line. They're trying to plough money into and build the team first, though. Perhaps more sensible.

Building a stadium would make no difference to what they do in respect of squad rebuilding.
They have an owner with cash on the hip, and more importantly the willingness to inject the stadium money into Everton.
Stadium costs do not count against FFP, so they can do both at the same time.

We should be giving all non athletic South American and Italian footballers a wide berth as the leagues in the aforementioned countries are in effect walking football and unless they’re ‘athletes’ they can’t cope with the physical demands of the EPL. So, yes Lamela may have takers in Spain or Italy but the downside of this is that beyond the 2-4 elite clubs they don’t tend to throw around money like they do in the EPL... we would be lucky to get £10-15m for him.
