Clearly there's something going on behind the scenes with Troy and his maturity level.

It does baffle me when kids are this close to making it big as a professional football player and they can't get their head in the right place to really be able to kick on and set themselves up for life by forgetting everything else and focusing on doing what your coaches/manager need you to do. I'm sure if he was mentally in the right place he'd be given opportunities.

Irish poster here.

He’s hanging around with some seriously dodgy folks.......

Most people know the score. Literally public enemy number 1 in Ireland and he’s is posing for pictures with their kin.

If he isn't ready, why even throw him on for 2 minutes in a game we are chasing? Keep him training with the first team, but playing u23 games to maintain his fitness, and don't include him in the match day squad if you have no real intentions of using him.

Giving him 2 minutes is a fucking slap in the face to both him and the fans.

Jose again pointing towards more than a question of talent with him by saying we are helping him both on and off the pitch.

The club will be fully aware of what is being said about him in media so while I don't completely buy the general journalists view that everything José says has some sort of machiavellian meaning to it I find it hard to believe that he would make a reference to off the field without it being a pointed statement.

We have reached a stage where he just wont play because if he does well JM cant win. He will be criticised for not playing him sooner. It's a lose lose for him

From what we can piece together there was a disciplinary matter, which has been addressed. Now Parrott has to prove himself again. The door seems to be back open as he was the man to replace Lamela yesterday as 19th man and Mourinho was happy enough to get him onto the pitch. Pretty much think it’s down to Parrott now to work hard and toe the line. He’d be mad not to after seeing it won’t be tolerated.

Had a bit of a google last night and read a few of the articles about who he is mates with and the sort of situation they are involved in. Wouldn’t surprise me if it’s just a case of the club waiting for him to clear the decks socially and focus more on football. Must be hard for a lad of his age in a way, but equally he needs to show the emotional intelligence and decision making that shows he is capable of making the best of a career in football.

That and he can't have asked for a better opportunity to get into the first team early. If he can't see an opportunity now then it's hard to see him knuckling down during these early years of his career waiting for scraps as Kane leads the line.
