The more and more I hear about us pursuing McCarthy the more excited I get. Realistically Levy should get what he can for Parker, Hudd and Livermore and bring in McCarthy. I just can't see Wigan doing business for less than 15M but lets hope. Striker Im on Neilton or a Baldini special find - that or pony up for old LD.

So we've got £44m left to spend on our new CF. Which forwards in are the £44m bracket then? Just one small step down from Neymar I guess, as he was £48m.

Neilton is not first team ready.

I do not criticise the ITK but I always laugh when we hear the information about money available to spend. In a scenario that we have £100m to spend I would bet the lives of my loved ones that the chairman haggles 2 months for strikers and we spend 1/4 of what is said to be available.

I agree with you to a small extent as to the big numbers bring thrown about, but we've already spent around £24m this summer. No small chunk of change, and we're clearly not done spending yet.

Wasn't around for the first five!! Yes to The Arch, Sherringham, Klinsmann, lineker and Berbatov, Keane maybe! The other two, no!!! Like I said, one hand!!

Peters was not a striker, sort of prototype Lampard, always arriving late and mostly from the blind side to sneak goals.

A new signing, but not a new face, will be announced soon. And in the middle there's two more years.
Why am I thinking of Modric, Old rat face.

Sandro and new contract is great news...

Why would we give a guy that's coming off major knee surgery a new deal without seeing how it responds? Very doubtful this is about Sandro.

Why did you do this to us A&C? I read every post of this. Every non-sensical, impulsive thought that entered anyone on SC's brain...and I'm no closer to knowing what it meant. And to have the audacity to plant that land mine in the thread and then backscuttle out for the night is unforgivable.
