Last couple of times I've seen PSG on the box I'm pretty sure he was playing as a DM and he looked good at it. Maybe that's Jose's reason in checking him out.
Marquinhos is playing for PSG as DM not Thiago Silva

Ok can't disagree, my memory isn't what it once was.
As I said I thought he looked to be playing DM because he was in front of the back line a lot of the time.

Lots going 'round the last couple of days.
Definitely think Mourinho will keen to bring in a CB. Seems like from rumors DM, CB & ST are high on the wish list. You'd have to guess RB is up there as well. Would be incredible if we could address all of them this windo.

I'd rather see us sign his compatriot Gabriel Magalhaes for 20m.
Worth remembering that so far, we’ve been told were working on a limited transfer budget. Gabriel might be good for 20m. But which RB or ST are you going for now you’ve spent 20m?

Remember that all our fees are paid over 4 years. We could buy 2 players for 40m total and add 10m a year to our existing payment schedule. There may be some sales which offset that as well.

Got to remember to that Lille did not complete their season, therefore they'll have lost money. They may be willing to do deals like this to ensure they have a good supply of cash coming in

This is a good point. Also make sense to look at OL as well for players on this basis, especially as they finished outside of a European spot.

i like these bits of info. Despite trying to be pragmatic, I’m desperate for us to make statement of intent. Does that mean Osimhen is still possible?

Managers/head coaches should be backed as much as possible because in my mind, they have to carry the can if the transfer goes tits up but equally, the budget is tight so Jose would have to be very sure (as much as anyone could be) that he would add real value to the team.
