Bernardo Silva, who's twice player Lemar is, for £45m looks an absolute bargain now. Very good player Lemar, potential to be great but Arsenal are basically spending £40m to end up with a worse starting 11.

lol if that ain't a panic buy then what is

Anyone remember when 25m was the figure being banded around?

Power of a bidding war and desperation

Seeing as we are now, supposedly, interested in Gomes, i dont know why we didnt try and get Silva last season. I assumed the only reason we didnt have a look was due to him being a Mendes client. He would have been the perfect signing for us.

Sanchez is a bigger loss to Arsenal than Lemar is a gain, and they already aren't good enough to compete

For all the wibbling noises coming out of Arsenal fans, not sure they'll have done too badly... Sanchez is obviously a big loss - but having Lemar and Lacazette in the team is probably not that much worse than having Sanchez and Giroud - and you haven't got the knowledge that one of them is going to swan of for a free at the end of the season....

I don't really like Man City strengthening with Sanchez either...

Nevermind - we'll beat them all anyway :)

Arsenal are not a contender this season - they will concentrate on Domestic Cups and Europa - they will have a new manager before next season.

Although apparently none of it's happening after all.... so, um, I guess that's good for us?

Arsenal are in absolute disarray. Cant believe they are letting so many players get to the end of their deals. Ramsey is also in the last two years of his contract, Ozil, Ox and Sanchez all off. Even if they sign Lemar and loose Sanchez they are worse than they were.

lol now the Goons get 10 more months out of Sanchez, the whole time knowing he doesn't want to be there, before he ticks off for free.

forgot I followed jj's advice to bet on him joining arsenal. That should make up for my balde shambles - covered my bet on him joining us by betting on Juve too! :/

That's piss funny. I know it's not going to happen but imagine if we got him for less than their bid because we're in the CL.

SSN reporting that Lemar does not want to go to Arsenal because they don't have Champion's League :cautious::cautious::cautious::D

Also there were rumours Lemar doesn't get on with Lacazette.

But you'd have thought the goons would have sussed whether Lemar was prepared to sign before chucking £100 million or whatever it was at Monaco.

Shambles of a club. But the best outcome for us is that a hacked off Sanchez stays for another year, undermining morale, and the goons don't get a good player or any money when he leaves next summer.
