The Athletic has an article about transfer deals falling apart and one of the stories is about Lemar.

And I want him now more than ever. He is at least partially responsible for Arsenal and Man U becoming shit. He backed out of a deal to go to Arsenal, which led to Arsenal backing out of a deal to sell Sanchez to City, which led to Sanchez remaining at Arsenal and taking up roster space and not having as much $ for transfers, which then led to his transfer to Man U where he took a large salary and became horrible!

All hail Thomas Lemar!

There aren't many players out there who we can realistically get that could be better than Eriksen, but I think Lemar might be one. More likely in the summer than now though I'm guessing. I've always been impressed by him.

I’d be shocked if Lemar ever reached the heights of Eriksen. Lemar has been a pretty big bust for Atletico, granted they don’t have a good track record at all with wingers under Simeone so could be a case of that. With Lemar we would have to move Son to the RW, which I personally would be fine with but not sure if the club would do that.

His all round game is not all that different to Eriksen- he's not a dribbler, he's looking to find space and play people in so he's a very unorthodox winger. He played a bit less than half his games centrally for Monaco too. And yes agree, Simeone's system is very esoteric.

Agree, he's more a midfielder that plays on the wing than a forward that plays on the wing; very similar to someone like Willian or Asensio. Great passer or the ball, keeps the ball well, has some skill to beat a man in close quarters and has a good delivery.

Yes, that is the singer Lemar, who is from Tottenham. He is also a cousin of our former youth striker Johnathan Obika.

Who now plays for St Mirren - saw his name prop up on the BT score printer

Infact come to think of it - every fuckin week his names comes up and every week it is for a different club - bloody going through the clubs like i go through a bucket of KFC
