Some interesting snippets in here. Particularly around those players refusing to sign new contracts and the lack of sales in the Summer.

Do you take £14m offer for Rose from Watford or not?

It's not just about whether we could sell them - it's about the price being asked.

We have literally no evidence of what was on offer in terms of fees, nor what we accepted or rejected.

What we do have, from the horses mouth, is that either the players didn’t generate sufficient interest, or if they did it was from clubs which didn’t interest those players, which was pretty obviously the case anyway.

There’s plenty of relevant places to take the ‘Levy screwed Pochettino’ rhetoric, but there’s nothing in this article opening that door for you.

Exactly. It's bizarre to me that grown men still believe selling a player takes nothing more than the club accepting a fee and the reason we have players we don't want is because Levy wants too much for them.

If you've a problem player and you want £100m for him, but he's still causing your team problems, you drop the price, no?

No. Right. We are where we are then.

Edit: BTW - we are rolling in money if you hadn't noticed. Just in case the record breaking profits passed you by.

LOL. We accepted a bid for Wanyama but he refused the move. Alderweireld has a buyout clause but no one met it.

The link you provided simply says no feasible approaches were made for Rose. Do you honestly believe that simply means we asked for too much money? If no team made an approach but Rose isn't interested in going then that is also an unfeasible approach.

But by all means join that small group of grown men that genuinely believe the only factor in us not selling is asking for too much money.

"Tottenham have rejected Watford‘s £14m bid for Danny Rose, The Independent understands."

Couldn't be clearer.

Yes but do you not understand why Rose might not want to go to Watford?
Where does it say that?

I understand when Rose acts like he wants out of Tottenham - given the possibility to investigate joining other clubs....

Eriksen another one - what was the price being asked? Nobody knows. But we know the chairman.

Here's the wording from a RUMOUR section of a newspaper:

Tottenham have rejected Watford‘s £14m bid for Danny Rose, The Independent understands.

Rose was left out of Tottenham’s travelling squad for their pre-season tour of Asia so he could “explore opportunities with other clubs” but no feasible approaches were made for the 29-year-old.

So nothing concrete to suggest we had rejected a bid. We left him out of the squad to allow him to talk to other clubs but no feasible approaches were made.

Once again it is foolish to use this to believe the only reason we didn't sell Rose was because Levy was asking for too much money. If we weren't interested in selling then we wouldn't have given him the chance to talk to clubs.

On Eriksen why can't you accept that we don't know? Why can't you understand that selling a player doesn't only rely on asking price?

Quotes from Eriksen suggest he wanted to go to one of the elite clubs. Stories on the situation was none of these elite clubs came in for him.

We don't know anything for certain but a grown man'sthought processes shouldn't be so one-dimensional. If you can't work out why Rose might not want to leave Spurs for Watford then you are beyond help.

Foolish, why?
Because there are a number of reasons why players don't get sold.

Eriksen wanted to join an elite club. But it appears no elite elite clubs came in for him. Hence he wasn't sold.

We accepted a bid for Wanyama but the interested clubs were of no interest to the player so he stayed. Again nothing to do with asking for too much money as we accepted a bid.

Alderweireld has a release clause but in your mind we didn't sell because we ask for too much money.

Your one-dimensional view doesn't fit every scenario.

Well yes, that was what I was saying. Is it possible that we didn't sell a player because we asked for too much money but there are a number of reasons we might not sell.

I said "we" don't know the full story. That includes me. So you saying "back at ya" like you have got one over me when you were actually agreeing with my point is just weird.

Putting you on ignore now as you are too dumb to converse with and I'll end up getting wound up by your stupidity.
