It's getting a bit sickening seeing the media fawn over us. I liked it bit more a couple months ago when we were under the radar and they were still saying Liverpool could win the title :ROFLMAO:

If anyone in the media actually bothered watching us play they'd realise that football games can be won without superstars or moments of magic.

No Prince Charming? Do they not know about the looks requirement to sign for Spurs?

And not having massive superstars means the so called giants won't come circling for our players

Nice article. The description of Poch taking one year to achieve three year's work makes me nod my head as I sit in work.

Whilst I do like us flying slightly under the media spotlight, at the same time I feel a bit gutted that the whole world isn't sitting up and taking notice. If we don't get lots of attention now.....when will we? Maybe if we're still in contention with six games to go it will ramp up.

It was a great read!

One of actually quite few ive even read this week to be honest -

I think we are actually getting great press at the moment and all of it positive focusing on the project we are undertaking right now rather than for our title challenge

And im OK with that.

The more we get bigged up for being potential winners the more we can get hammered for capitulating if that does (and i dont think it will) happen.

Press surrounding our awesome manager, the great atmosphere in the club, our promising young stars is refreshing and has been what we have needed for a while. i truly do see a shift in peoples opinions of us - yes the jealousy causes some fans to hate on us but I have found a number of work colleagues coming up to talk to me about spurs every time we play and they praise our setup and long for something similar to be happening at their own clubs.......

Agreed. On a Sunday or Monday when you read the match reports it's all about individual performances - Aguero, Ozil I guess, Mahrez, Rooney - and the things they did or didn't do, while Spurs are left with '.. and Tottenham won again' without focusing on the again part. Last season it was all about Harry Kane, this season they seem to struggle with the concept of a well oiled machine steamrollering teams and spreading the goals around.

As a fan it's great, though. Flores called Spurs 'animals' last week and said it's the most complete team they have faced. Just a few more months to go...

Hi Danners, I was surprised when I saw that post match interview with Flores. I reckon something went wrong with his translation that day and he maŷ have meant 'beasts' or something similar.

I think the comment was made in a respectful way as if to say .. Aggression/passion etc .. Just my humble take.

Just look at the stats, he might have a point

Well Southampton didn't have massive stars and they got dismantled.

Saying that they're doing very well despite this.

I do get their point, and its definitely a positive about this team that we're not so dependent on one guy to pull us out of the soup, but on the other hand if we had paid good money for Kane and he then scored 36 goals in his first 58 league appearances as he has since the start of last season (ok they weren't his first appearances but he was learning his craft as a youngster, and still is), we'd be calling him a superstar. Because he's home grown his 'glamour' will be a bit more slow burning. Same with Alli who has made many 'superstar' moments so far including some outrageous goals but still has the Football League boy done good aura around him as he didn't cost 11x as much like De Bruyne. So I agree in some ways with the piece about our collective strength but make no mistake, some of our lads are very close to, and will become, superstars in the near future if they keep going like this.

There are too many articles mentioning spurs are quietly working under the radar that it doesnt make them work under the radar anymore.
