Why would it bother us? Better he gets it while he's away with Italy than at home with us.

Spurs fans are easy targets when it comes to injury news, especially at the moment. Even FLU can cause some to panic. He should be fine for Villa a week on Sunday. Nothing to worry about.

To be fair I had flu recently, took a week to feel human again. Went for a run this morning (normally go 2-3 times a week) and was fucked within 5k and my pace was like a snail. So flu isn’t always to be dismissed as it’ll be fine in a week

Proper flu is completely debilitating. You know it once you've had it.

I get really annoyed when people refer to a mild cold as "flu". So many people say they "had flu" when they're only unwell for one day and then back to 100%. Maybe next time I get a paper cut I'll tell everyone my finger was cleaved off with an axe...

The artcile says "flu symptoms" rather than "flu", so hopefully it's not actually flu. A fairly average cold technically causes "flu symptoms" and would be enough to impact breathing / reactions / concentration etc. Italy has a few very good 'keepers, so he probably wouldn't need to be all that unwell for them to justify omitting him from the squad.
