English football’s perennial ‘nearly’ team must settle on a long-term vision and appoint a manager to suit it.

Tottenham stand at a crossroads. But then they always do. They have been standing at a crossroads for at least 50 years. And while some roads lead through cup finals and hopeful vistas and others through gloom and Tim Sherwood this, perhaps, is the true history of Tottenham: life as a series of crossroads that lead always, eventually, back to another crossroads somewhere in the Valley of Not-Quite-There.

The same, very crucial question is raised in this article as well as by Ally Gold and others:

Director Munn starts 1st of July. The logical hierarchy way of doing things would be for Munn to hire the DOF, who in his/her place hires the head coach/manager.

To do it the opposite way around would only carry the slighted chance of success if- as a bare minimum - the people doing the hiring of the different positions have a very exact plan and strategy in place.

The people doing the hiring (or give the yay/nay) is Levy and his board of yesmen.

2 + 2 = ?

😢😭

I bit like having 3 jigsaw puzzles, emptying the whole lot on the floor, then picking up a few handfuls of pieces, then wondering why it won't make a picture.
