He's as good as if not better than what we have at the moment. He had a terrific season last season and is a better passer with more pace than Sandro, Paulinho, Dembele and Siggy.

If you actually read it, you would be aware that the source is a [presumably French] website called Le10Sport, who in turn got it from Mercato.

I'm not suggesting that it's true, just suggesting that you pay attention first and jerk your knee second.

I did read it first thanks.

A terrible website using another source using another source is not usually a good basis for a true story.

Good to see at your normal needless condescending self though, I forgot you exist.

What does advanced mean ? Have we said more words than anyone else, have we phoned them back twice ? I just don't know...

Honestly, how much have you actually seen of Schneiderlin?

It perplexes me how people go on about Southampton, and the brilliance of Lovren, Shaw, Schneiderlin, Lallana, Lambert and Rodriguez etc.

None of them are world class, or even remotely anywhere near it.

They were all all part of a team who lost to us twice last season, and finished well below us...

Despite Spurs being (in large parts) shite for the entire season!

Well, the only logical explanation is a conspiracy against the saints. Now that their 1st XI is dismembered, the will be relegated next season ;)

It also "perplexes me" how many deluded fans on here expect every other signing that Spurs make to be "World class" as you put it.

Brazil have World class players and were mothered by the Germans, who have a complete team and that's what Poch is going to build and not a bunch of "World class" individuals.

I watched the Saints eight times last season, and live in our two games to know why Levy brought Poch to Spurs. As for Schneiderlin if we are after him then i'd take him in a heartbeat. He is far quicker, has a better pass and is a box to box midfielder. His fitness in general is also far better than Sandro. He would be a great addition to the current squad. Sorry it's not Mata but then again perhaps Levy just does not have forty odd million kicking around in a draw in his desk.

Oh, and by the way we also beat Man Ure last season as well, so going on your theory you wouldn't take any of their players either? We are not buying the whole bloody Saints team so your idea that we shouldn't buy some of their better players defies logic. No doubt if you were Chairman at Spurs you would only allow the purchase of players who beat us, or are in the top four.

That's a great transfer policy, that will really work. Just where do you think players like Walker, Naughton, Lennon, Dembele, Kabul, Siggy, Chadli, came from, Real Madrid?

I haven't made any reference to the type of players we are/have signed/should be signing, so not quite sure of your point there. But just to clarify, I am delighted with the two signings we have made this season. Two of the three signings we needed to definitely make, and now we just need a centre half to make me happy and confident of building on last season's sixth place.

My point entirely was that Southampton's achievements - both personal and as a team - have been dramatically over-emphasised. A point which I think is very difficult to argue with, and one which I provided good examples to question this in respect to our own performance both against them and across the season.

I have to disagree on Schneiderlin wholeheartedly, but that is just opinion at the end of the day. I actually think Sandro (if used in the right role) could offer any team in the world the best at what he does. But on the other hand, if Pochettino's style of play doesn't need a Sandro type player then there is no point in keeping him, I am just not sure if we then need to actively replace him.

I would rather Pochettino just coached the likes of Holtby's and Dembele's talent in-particular however (not to mention Paulinho, Bentaleb and to a lesser extent Carroll), saving us making an unnecessary transfer and paying a ridiculous fee - and yet another central midfield player.... Just what we need...

And I wouldn't take any United player's other than Rooney and Mata - but again, I think you misunderstood my point. I'd maybe take Carrick back too because he was brilliant for us.
