I know I and others keep banging on about it, but just go and make a big bid for Mahrez.

He is exactly what we need. All this " is he a Poch player stuff" is bollocks imo.

He's a quality performer, proven in this league and does something that no one in our entire squad can do.

Just seeing Potch's post match comments about needing more quality and as we all know this is true and he is hoping to bring in a minimum of three players. The problem is we all pretty much know who the three players are and they are either risky signings or ones for the future!
Aurier who is a risky signing given as we know comes with baggage but on the other hand is a quality player. The other two player we know we are close to signing is Foyth and I'm pretty sure he won't be ready to challange for a first team place this season given he is going to need time to adapt to new league, country etc. and I assume the other player might be Sancho a 17 year old kid with no Premier League experience. Extremly worrying We need players who can have an effect on games now!! For a top 6 Club the quality of our bench is a joke!!

He'll also likely come with an absurd price tag.

Wembley?
The truth...
a) It is bigger - it shouldn't make any difference.
BUT
b) It appears even bigger than it is because of the grass border - psychologically (and I'm not making excuses for our shite today) but it seems to make a difference to
1) The crowd
2) The intensity
3) Toby's diagonal balls (I'm not kidding) - even the commentator mentioned that Toby knew WHL so well he knew which hoarding to hit diagonally.

Solution?

Bring the hoardings in closer to the pitch?

Apart from that...
1) Trippier is not the next step up solution. That is becoming crystal clear. I love his crosses - but he has no pace or positional awareness - his last 15mins AWOL was shocking - that said, someone like Toby should be fucking rollicking him to get back into position - the first time that happened.
2) Kane is way off the pace - Does he have to shoot every time? - Great awareness as a great striker would have had him passing a simple square ball for a tap in for Dele...but nope he had to shoot when the Goalie is a yard away from him and fully committed. Great players and great teams are not selfish and greedy like Kane has been recently. He was never going to score that particular effort.
3) Dele has become all flicks and tricks and appears disinterested at times - not even celebrating the goal (head turned by Barca?) What was that all about?!
4) Sissoko - he's clumsy as - but what he did show twice was that if we had someone with pace and strength (and better ball control than he) - that it does change our pattern of play which is so horribly predictable these days.

Prior to their equaliser I was going to say Moussa was M.O.M.

Major surgery required between now and Thursday.

I am not convinced by Barkley tbh and I don't think he is the answer personally, hope he proves me wrong if we do get him though but again, he seems like a player who would slow the pace down.

This team, the one thing it lacks is a player with pace and power that will drive at a team, Sissoko was supposed to be that player and so far he has been a huge disappointment, a very bad signing imo.
Pace and power is overstated if you haven't got good footballing ability to go with it.

Everyone points to Mane as the epitome of the player we lack.........."the pace, the power"

But he's a bloody good footballer too. He's got great balance and close control, a few tricks, can beat a man of a standing start, scores goals, creates goals.

It's a game we should have easily won. Burnley stood off us most of the game and allowed us to do what we wanted. Though sheer carelessness we dropped two points. Totally unnecessary and easily avoidable.

Other scores around us not working this time. I am truly pissed.
Today was embarrassing to be honest, the way we switched off at the end was probably only one of a handful of times under Poch I have seen us look that unprofessional on the pitch.

They stunk the place out today, both the players and Poch, I genuinely will be very surprised if we crack the top four this season, both us and Arsenal look the weakest of the bunch so far.

Liverpool, United, City are looking very strong, I know it's early days yet and you can't really tell anything from this point in the season but they all look like they have progressed so far and frankly we look like we have stagnated.

Thankfully, we still have a lot of games to go yet and those teams above will all hit a bad patch of form, hopefully we will hit our good patch when they do, I trust in Poch to turn it around, it's just days like today leave a really bad taste in the mouth because we should have won that game and it was our own stupidity that cost us.

I do agree with you completely, hence why Sissoko has flopped imo, he has pace and power but does not have the mind of a good footballer.

We controlled the game but it was slow, Wembley is an exhibition centre, atmosphere dies quickly.

At the end we had chance to keep ball and lost it a few times, which gave Burnley chances to break quick and the fullbacks still high at that point of the game with the full backs who were then wingbacks as Poch changed formation was stupid, Burnley kept pinging the ball out wide and it pulled us about, it's not how the goal came but we looked ragged at the end.

Disappointed, that's nothing to do with the pitch size or the atmosphere, poor game management for me from the players and Poch.

In the last five minutes we looked tired at the back. Burnley sensed that and the route one stuff paid off. Collectively we are sometimes like headless chickens at the end of a game. A little bit of game management by players would not go amiss but we seem to lack anyone to do that
I was saying the same thing on leaving the ground. We've nobody who looks to do any organising.

I didn't expect to. I just want a cup tbh. But I do expect us to win game like that. On a plate.

We need s top quality player to come in, maybe even two, that can immediately push for a first team place, that's if we actually want to try and win something this season.

If not then, well, it is what it is.
