Another 3 points, and the scum barely got 1 away at Southampton, great day! Lennon is so hot nowadays, he just gets better and better doesnt he? Hopefully we can keep this up since we do look quite good atm!

As xxxx as he is, suarez would bang them in in this team without a shadow.

Despise Suarez, but agree he is capable of producing some magic and getting a few goals out of nothing. Cheeky bid maybe;)?

The ref was very poor today and gave every decision to Reading. Their first goal was never a foul. And a few times when our lads were clearly fouled, he just waved play on.

Also he refused to book their players for horribly cynical challenges. Dembele was pulled back at least 4 times when making great runs yet the deeds went unpunished.

I though H.Webb was an absolute disgrace and as previously mentioned the free kick he gave against us, which led to their goal, should have been in our favour instead.

In other news, from The Mail so might be made up...(but I don't think so in this case):

'Two former Premier League stars have been voted as the worst signings of the season in La Liga, by readers of Spanish newspaper Marca.
Luka Modric, who left Tottenham for Real Madrid after protracted negotiations, and Alex Song, who signed for Barcelona from Arsenal, were the worst rated, with Modric gaining 32.2 per cent of the vote.'

Should have stayed, eh rat face !

Loads of rumours on the twittersphere that moutinho was at the lane? I can't be getting excited about this again! Anyone at the game confirm?

I think he was hungover from last night. He couldnt be bothered to do much of anything. I lost count of how many non-existent "advantages" he allowed.

The free kick was for a 'foul' that occured bang in the middle of the 'D'. Webb allowed the kick to take place at least a yard outside which enabled them to get it up and over the wall hitting the bar before the rebound went in.

Shoddy refereeing!

Just saw Dawson had a whack on the nose. Didn't realise he had to go off as he had blood on his shirt.

Didn't get to watch the game earlier so just caught the highlights on MotD. Lennon looked fantastic, a real live wire. It's a shame we've not kept a clean sheet the last couple of games but at least Lloris is only getting beaten when he's down on the floor! It's just that we need to be a bit quicker with those rebounds. Still, a good win and a good start to 2013.

Another good win! The AVB bashers have certainly gone quiet, long may it continue.

I think Lennon's varying form has much less to do with confidence - he's always appeared as a slightly-full-of-himself character, not a man afflicted by self-doubt - than it has to do with his fitness.

When Lennon has managed to stay fully fit, by which I mean pain-free, for periods of a few months, as opposed to a few matches, this is the level he has generally reached. He's had two periods in his career when he was brilliant nearly every week and they have coincided with the only times when he hasn't had nagging, long-term groin or hamstring issues.

The other reason he is playing so well is that, for reasons to do with AVB's formation and, I reckon, his instructions, Lennon cuts inside at least three times as often as he used to do. He scares the shit out of nearly every defender when he does that and it leads to chances. Now AVB has to keep encouraging him to shoot more.

Also, his crossing has improved generally and was especially good today.

But mainly I think it's his fitness. People have tended to underrate him because he's had long periods when he's been fit enough to play, but was always playing through discomfort, which affected his level of performance. You can't do that when your game depends on acceleration as much as his does.

agree but I'd like him to take on players in the box more often rather than make a bad pass or shoot - chances are he'll get passed the last man or get fouled.

Very good point. From a standing start, Lennon is the best player in the league at taking on a man or drawing a foul. He could really use that to our advantage.

He's got better at turning in squaring up the defender then away to the bye line.

Walker needs to practise that too.
