What's wrong with it against trash at home, one thing I never understood with AVb was the same old system whether it was bottom of the table at home or top of the table away.

Exactly - everyone was moaning (don't deny it) that AVB persisted with 1 up front in home games, when we should be playing 2.
Now Sherwood picks 2 up top and everyone's moaning......

So all I see is moaning about our negative predictable football under Avb

Sherwood goes 442 with the two best wingers in the squad.and the best passer (sigurdsson) in the middle and still people moan

Now if you can't play 442 at HOME against a team fighting for premiership survival! What has the world come to?

Let's get behind the team. All this negativity should leave along with avb

Spam are gonna sit very deep. Chiriches and Capoue are very good on the ball, so I think they'll be told to bring to ball out as much as possible, and almost become and extra man in midfield.

Are we playing a diamond or more 4-1-3-2? Dembele and Sigurdson in CM doesn't seem like it would work to me but with Capoe having to play CD, Sandro out, Paulinho suspended and I assume Holtby saved for the weekend, I guess that we don't have many choices? It makes me sad that only Arsenal have injuries and we are running out of playing in defence and midfield

Correct me if im wrong but werent we playing 4231 against west ham when they fucked us up recently? It wasnt 442...

Its not like 4-4-2 has never ever worked in the history of football is it.

Its a carling cup game with an injury hit squad. Give it a go.

Whats the worst that can happen? some funny shit. we havent even got a manager to sack. Has a stand-in manager ever been sacked before? surely that would be another feather in our cap.

Uhh, Eriksen and Holtby say 'Hi'.

They are equal if not better passers of the ball then Sig.

This better be good, I've been revising most of the day and my head hurts.

I swear you've been studying for about 8 years. Do you ever graduate?
I dont actually remember doing any work at unio_O
Mind you, they were the same heading in that game.....
Dear god its gonna happen again isnt it
4-4-2 with a big man little man combo up front.

I'm really delighted Tim Sherwood is the technical mastermind managing our academy students.
Watch the youth team and you notice tactically they look miles ahead of our first team

on BBC Sports:
Tottenham v West Ham (1945 GMT)
Franco Baldini is lurking in the tunnel at White Hart Lane talking to a mysterious looking gentleman. It could be a candidate for the managerial role, it could just as easily be his son or an applicant for a catering gig. I have no idea.

The bad weather is not confined to the north west, it looks pretty rank at the Lane as well.

I think Tim has picked that side and formation to simplify things, leaving new faces out where possible to take the heat off them. I wouldn't be convinced he'll change much in personnel or formation for a few weeks either. It hasn't worked for AVB so I think he'll tweak it accordingly. No way is this just a Carling Cup weakened side to concentrate on the league.
