Tottenham want to sign Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer this summer – when his contract with Fulham expires.

That is according to Calciomercato.

I was all for this during the summer (pre VdV) although i couldn't see it happening given he reportedly wanted to leave Fulham to play more football (he was sharing the position with Diop and played something like 25 games last season).

Having watched him closely since he returned from injury i can't have him at all now - far too many mistakes with his passing out from the back, two really bad ones in consecutive games recently. On the plus side he does make good last ditch tackles/blocks and his height is very useful in both boxes.
However, as we've just signed a young predominantly right sided CB who's tall and good at heading it makes very little sense to try and add him to the mix now - and he'd be a massive liability if asked to cover for VdV on his weaker foot.

If we really are looking for PL experienced homegrown CB's on the cheap then it's Kelly all day for me given that he's left footed (although i'd be fairly sure we could find someone non homegrown who's not overly expensive and better than both of them)

Which one is faster?
I worry that without VDV our high line is compromised. VDV really allows us to push up to the halfway line without much worry

Unless Dragusin turns out a flop or is not yet considered ready as third choice, then I am not convinced that this position is a priority. Phillips is promising and Davies and Emerson have shown they can play there.

Several more links to him this past few days, even Ally Gold said the other day that we are still interested.

I'll stick to my guns and suggest it's utter nonsense that we are strongly interested in him - he cannot play out from the back as we'd want him to (he CAN play long cross field passes well, but not short passes, especially under pressure). He also can't play anywhere near his best on the left, so other than him being free, there is little to suggest we'd want him (imo you'd 100% take left footed Kelly over him if you desperately want an experienced homegrown defender on a free).

Note: check out MoTD on Saturday to see a prime example of him being prone to mistakes with his short passing - literally passed it straight to an opponent which led to a goal, and not the first time this season.

I think we do need one more CB who can cover left back.

next year we will have a lot of games, Phillips and dorrington need more time both prob need loans next season

Very similar profile to Dragusin, don't see the point in hoarding.
If anything I'd fear it would be because Real Madrid are coming in for Romero.

I wouldn't fear anyone coming in for our players, very doubtful anyone could afford the price Levy would ask for Romero, VdV, Udogie, Sarr etc

Romero won't go to Madrid. They haven't had an Argentinian for 10 years. Players don't want to upset Messi.
