Townsend Banned

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Andros Townsend is banned from all football activity for a month for a breach of the FA betting rules.
Townsend, 21, who had voluntarily withdrew from the England Under-21 squad before the Under-21 Championship in Israel, is also fined £18,000.

Supposedly a 4 month ban, but 3 months suspended. (Taken from BBC)

Its a shame we is missing the England games, but glad he will be available for us.
Hope he stays with us, as he will be a good option, and the club can keep an eye on him.

It's bizarre with all these statements being suddenly released, first pulling out of the squad and then this, but no explanation from anyone, even the FA, as to what he's actually supposed to have done (rather than just 'breached rule 198672344 part 6 paragraphs 14-32).

Big shame that he is missing the U21 tourny, would've been a great experience for him. Would rather he go to that and miss the first month of our season, as I doubt he'll get much playing time from the start of the season.
