More likely to be

------Sandro
---------------Moutinho
--VDV-------------

With Sigurdsson playing wide right.

I would be very surprised if we could sort out a deal for Moutinho though, as he was one of the stars of the Euros and would command a rather hefty fee surely?

Possibly, i think it will the other way round with VDV wide right personally, but we'll prob have to wait on AVB to find out the answer to that one.

Moutinho - we have the player wanting to join us, no real issue with wages, so the fee will be the sticking point. But he won't command what Modric does so i think it'll be do-able, maybe a last minute saga with Modders going to Madrid and us landing Moutinho???

a true story that I have used for humerous effect

I will elaborate to reduce the levels of disgust.

I was at the train station (sober and chilled out) dropping my wife off. After she got on the train I left the station and walked towards the Gay nightclub which is on route to the car park where I was parked. I then heard a voice shout out "Oi you f*cking ****!" not once but twice. I looked around thinking, oooo this might kick off, lets be nosey. Except when I turned around I saw the fella was shouting at me. He was worse for wear I admit. He had been thrown out by the doormen. I politely told him to shut his trap and save himself the embarrassment and walk away. At this point the doormen apologised and tried to get the geezer to fuck off the other way. He then became irate, effing and blinding at me. I walked towards him and told him again "If you keep this up mate, youre gonna have a bit more than a hangover in the morning!"

Do you think he listened? No! So I took one swoop with the right and followed through with a headbutt which landed on his upper chin. I apologised to the doormen and passers by and made my way home

Was I in the wrong?

To be honest I think you should have left it, but I'm tempted to give you the Winner rating as you won the fight.

Gomes/Cudicini, Bassong, Rose, Bentley, Yago & Gio must also have doubts about whether they will be part of the squad.
Definitely need to shift a few if, as expected, there are more signings to come.
Didn't an ITK say AVB liked the look of Falque? Could have been me imagining that but I'm sure someone said that...

not where I come from mate. Round here thats how you stop yourself getting a hiding

you wanna check yo'self before you wreck yo'self. fighting is bad mmmmkay. seriously. I'd rather take a punch than give one, people might be mad or bad, but it doesn't mean we should be.

Yeah I agree, the guy is clearly worth a 20 mill price tag, however I still worry he may get bullied in the EPL. I know he is the same build as Modric but Eastern European players are far tougher than ones from the Portugal, Spain or Italy due to the refereeing in those Countries.
Yes, you're right. David Silva and Juan Mata were useless last year.
Either that or they are actually 6 feet tall and TV makes them look much smaller.

Yes - you should have given him a boot too!

You weren't wrong IMHO but the old bill and the courts would not have the same view as me if he had pressed charges

Going back to football Moutinho would be a cracking signing, not 100% sure he would adapt to England but a big name who would help put us on the map

Neither play in CM. If you are going to make comparisons please do it properly.

ok, and if you're going to make sweeping generalisations, make sure you point out that you're talking about central midfielders only and not about all Spanish/Portuguese short-arses.

:) Gotta say Ryan, I'd probably have done the same. Wrong though of course, should have just walked away :)

My wife hates it, me, it's how I grew up ;-)

Moutinho, so is he in the UK or not then - not seen this confirmed or denied by any ITK yet?

Yes, Falque seems the forgotten man. Seemed a bit of a pointless signing and then he struggled to get a game at SCBC on loan. Could be an unexpected bonus.

In all fairness that Southampton side were playing out of their skin and in their managers position I wouldn't have wanted to change anything (by playing Falque) either.
