Sandro will be lethal up front!
Sandro can play entirely on his own. i mean entirely. Only player on the pitch. If he gets tired, he can be substituted by himself. I've seen it happen at the training ground. Honestly. The man's a monster. A miracle. A feat of engineering.

I feel like bursting into song. But it's probably best if I don't. Here's to happiness and good fortune. My son's in LA and is going to see us play the Galaxy, as the fans there call them (!). I'm very excited (somewhat remotely) and told him to send me a full report with proper punctuation. I think I'll just pop off and start a feelgood religion; that or a band called the kursaal flyers. think posidrive.
"Here we go Galaxy, here we go!"

Is this a wind up? Or did you say summit insightful? Genuine question...

Unless you're calling JJ a WUM then I think you know the answer to your question.

He wasn't alluding to a specific comment just my general musings, I think.

Like he says though, I'm just trying to read between the lines like rest of you guys. I guess I must get it right more than wrong most of the time.

What did you say exactly that he agreed with or liked? Sorry on phone and can't check...just trying to fit the pieces together...

Still confident we will wrap up Adebayor. Lloris I think could go down to the wire but I hope we have a back up option.

Least we still have Modric eh lol

Nothing in particular, just his general posts were normally very good.

What is with the negativity? Surely this summer has still been good to us so far and if the Adebayor deal is completed as expected surely we are quite a bit stronger than last year already (considering Vertonghen as a consistent partner to Kaboul, Sigurdsson as another goalscoring option from midfield, Caulker, Naughton etc.)

Some player that was maybe part of a deal with Madrid for Modric has fallen through but we are in the driving seat on any deal for Modric surely. If Madrid want him they have to offer us something that makes sense for us otherwise he stays a Spurs player (I assume he'll turn up for training today). I can't really see how everything is going wrong, it seems like a snowball effect because JJ heard some bad news regarding a player. The other signings are going to take a while, they always do. Look how long it took us to sign Vertonghen, so I wouldn't get too worried about that. After all normally all of this happens on the final day of the window and now we are only middle of July.

I agree if AVB gets the best of the squad I would be more than happy last year we were competing in the title race(though we were a long shot but we were in the race) with a unhappy footballer as well as loads of other issues

I think we've done well to add to the squad, but I really hope that we don't sell Modric and then get in a pickle with a replacement.

Adebayor I'm confident will be done. But we can't put ourselves in a position where we have one centre forward and an awkward Modric situation. We need to hit the ground running here.

Also, if JJ was actually behind the majority of the Goat's posts, then I am dubious about his info, because the Goat's track record is shocking.

No, a lot of the goat information is from other sources.

Even if Madrid did pull a player out of the deal, that could just be them making a power-play because we are asking so much. I wouldn't count out that same player being back in the deal if we really want to make the deal with Madrid happen. We're clearly still negotiating on the Modric deal.

Thought it was a bit ambitious myself, I mean why would Hig want to leave one of the biggest clubs in the world for Spurs

I don't think we need a backup option for Lloris - AVB would go 'back' to Friedal for one more season.

Friedal was probably a top 3 keeper in PL last season with Krul and Hart. He doesn't really deserve to lose his no 1 job but I can totally understand the need to find a successor.
