If we could get most of our money back for him I'd be very tempted to sell, despite it leaving us short in that position. I think with Nkoudou, Lamela and Edwards and the ability to change formation to 3 at the back we could do without him till January and then bring Barkley in with the money!

I wish Lamela was fit. What has it been 10 months. Injured just as he really was starting to shine.
What to do about Sissoko and Janssen has been a debate for the past 12 months......get rid seems to be the preferential option of opinion but they are still there.
Sissoko has stated he wants to stay and prove himself, Janssen has turned down an option to go on loan to Brighton to stay and prove himself also.
This shows commitment from both bearing in mind our salary structure is not the best and that they both face limited playing time.
Looking at the squad overall, bearing in mind the key injuries we had last season and Ali's ban for the first 3 Europian game matches this season I am happy they are staying.
We now have a solid squad following our transfer activety with plenty of flexibility. It's stick or bust but come January if Sissoko and Janssen prove themselves or not we can move them on.

Barcelona might activate the release clause of Valencia's Parejo (50 million Euro), then Valencia should have money available to make this happen.

I would even contemplate a loan. Giving Sissoko an opportunity to impress in a WC year, then sell him to PSG or so next summer for a fortune.
