We are missing someone to control the tempo and to who passing is the natural element of the game. Ill be honest - I was oblivious to this yesterday but today's game made me realise. We never looked comfortable on the ball or keeping it. Livermore and Sandro normally wanted rid as soon as possible

we need someone to hand out a few bollockings when things arent working like roday - Parker or Daws would do it and VDV would gee a few of them up too.
And i hate to say it but my impression so far is that the players arent really fighting for AVB yet so it needs someone to remind them of their responsibilities. Im not a massive fan of Parker as a player but as a leader i think hes head and shoulders above the rest sp the sooner hes back the better IMO.

Too many quiet players on the pitch today - nobody willing to stand up and ask questions and demand a response on the pitch. Parker is a defensive blocker a backs against the wall leader. Not an inspirational drag you over the line player like gerrard was. His qualities are their to enable us not to lose not to drag usto victory. He wont win you games, players like vdv will win you games.

I'd want Parker in every game we play when fit. If I see someone getting stuck in and busting a gut on the pitch I want to do the same.
