Wanyama reveals Spurs blocked sensational Celtic transfer

Victor Wanyama has revealed Tottenham blocked a sensational return to Celtic. The Kenyan powerhouse had been on the Hoops' radar ever since Neil Lennon returned to the club.

My understanding was last summer we accepted a bid from a Belgian club. The most likely reason for him to turn this down was he was due his permanent UK residency at the end of the year so leaving would stop him obtaining this.

Surely if Celtic matched the Belgian club's offer we would have sold him.
