Tough game, one that i can definitely see us losing but also one that will be a massive boost if we win. Weird saying that considering where Watford were a few years back!

Until we get a decent central midfield back unfortunately we're the ones with the potential to be bullied in such matches, unlike where Dembele was there.

I agree, if ever there was a game where midfield will decide the victor it’s this one. Chalobah, Capoue and Doucoure (was the midfield that started against Bournemouth) against whoever we have in there. Imagine if Mourinho picks winks and Eriksen, we will get steamrollered. I would take Capoue (I never thought he was too bad) and definitely doucoure in our midfield.

I think it's good that expectations are more realistic. I think that translates to the team sometimes and we play better. Still gone for a score draw (optimistic to some I am sure).

TEAM FORM: __ Watford DWWDW _____ Spurs DLDLW ___

That is very sobering.

I feel like we are vulnerable at the back and we aren't really scoring many goals. That's not a great combination. A really tough game.

What has it come to that we are worrying about Watford away. I am hopeful and predicting a win for us. Sonny brace and a random goal from Dier off his arse for a 3-1 win.

Woke up this morning with severe optimism. I'm not going to get to watch today but I think we battle through this one and get a late winner. COYS

Problem with Capoue and a few of the players who came with the Bale money like Chiriches. They thought they were joining a club that they could use as a stepping stone to a Chelsea or United. Look at them now.

Not feeling confident with this game at all if I’m honest, Watford are flying & our defence is still letting in goals
I’d be more confident if I could rely on us scoring goals.

A draw would be a good result but not in the grand scheme of things

Watford have a midfield pairing, along with many other Prem clubs to be fair, that would stroll in to our first XI today given our injuries and players not quite ready etc

I've long hoped we might have gone for doucoure, a proven premier league quality midfielder, but we never seemed to get seriousky linked and it wont happen now.

I deleted my post. Thought it might come across as a homophobic slur.
Please don't tell me that you used the word 'bender', as in, the age old term for a piss up but felt the need to delete it in case it offended someone?

Edit. I hope you're not gonna smoke any fags either!

Wonder if JT will be given the chance to build on his impressive displays...

Very few people nowadays would dare to call that what it is, which is a rather niggardly response to his point ;) .

I feel like these next 2 games are make or break for Mourinho.

Injurys or not we should be getting results now. Hes had long enough.

Yeah I think this will be another game that highlights how badly we need a replacement while Kane is out.
