Against villa it wasnt a good atmosphere, because we weren't playing well and were getting beat. Eriksen came on, we changed the way we played, and the atmosphere got much better. Players have to take some responsibility for the atmosphere. Against Newcastle we were turgid and getting beat, and the team gave is nothing to sing about. It's a 2 way street.

This is the problem.

What about this one for Lo Celso to the tune of being YID
He's played in France
He's played in Spain
He's played in the sun
He's played in the rain
They'll try to stop him but look what it did
The thing I love most of Giovanni
Giovanni Giovanni etc

Also we should highjack the Allez, Allez, Allez and use it for Ali, Ali, Ali or Sonny, Sonny, Sonny

Do we need more organisation or coordination before and during the games to keep the atmosphere? Can you imagine our south stand looking like this every game?

Its really not as bad as people are making out here. You could hear a pin drop at the Lane when we were losing 1-0 to the likes of Wigan.

I think you're somewhat missing the point there mate. Every club has a good atmosphere when they're 3-0 up against their arch rivals, the point is that having a good atmosphere is much more about singing/encouraging the team even when things aren't going our way. That's what creates an intimidating atmosphere, not 85 mins of tutting and moaning but then singing "He's one of our own" twice when Kane scores late on. I appreciate what you're saying about the players needing to at least look like they give a shit, but if we were all cheering like mad the whole time it would probably give them the kick up the arse they needed at the weekend.

Also true. I think people have a bit of a rose-tinted memory of WHL. The atmosphere was pretty poor 90% of the time there as well, for the same reasons.

Not sure if this is really true or not, but one of the journos on Football Weekly (or similar) was saying you've got a downside to having such good acoustics in the new stadium that when you have a game like Sunday's was, it just amplifies all the mumbling so makes the atmosphere seem even worse. Maybe bullshit, but I suppose 60k people moaning and tutting is obviously louder than 30k people doing the same so it's not that unlikely I guess.

I said this exact thing when we started building it.

Our core fan base are 15 years from the grave. They have no interest in signing as they've well and truly done their time. We have a lack of numbers in younger support and it goes without saying Daniel & Donna have no interest in engaging them.

Whl was shit for atmosphere unless it was a night game or derby. Atleast the right people were in the right places there.

Agreed, but the acoustics of NWHL exacerbate the problem as they help the opposing fans out-sing us. I'm sure the intention of the south stand is that it becomes an intimidating wall of noise. imho, that will not happen unless the club takes steps to help the fans organise.

Around 1:09 of this. Giovani Lo Celso.

Obvs no chance of it happening - not one for the masses, but that’s what I sing at home anyway.

Yada yada yada yada yehehehe
Yada yada yada yada yehehehe
Giovani Lo Celso

Great song also if you give it a chance. Pro-immigration.

Also this from about 2 mins in, I can’t make the words up as I’m crap but something simple and snappy please

Sad to say the singing and atmosphere was very poor on Saturday (again). The palace where quiet for them but not surprising as they were getting a beating but their constant reference to “is this the library” was a bit disingenuous to the goons. I think our atmosphere is worse. I must say I blamed our poor selection of songs for the last two years on the upheaval of Wembley. We need knew uplifting songs to lift the team. Songs like stand up if you hate arsenal and your fucking shit etc. Surely we are better than that:mad:

we are meant to be the twelfth man, and we have the biggest kop end in the country that should rock. the trouble is because it was the in thing when we sold tickets, too many bought tickets for it to be part of it, but can't be bothered to contribute. wished they would buy tickets for the west stand

We are the 1's meant to help give them a lift, and against Palace, I really thought at 4-0 the place would be rocking but was very disappointed.

Many on here in the early pages said they don't want to go down the alez, alez route. I totally disagree I reckon the ground would rock with it.
