hey all

I fully agree with the need for new songs, this is actually one of the reasons why I found this forum...to see if there were any new songs coming. I was at the palace game and whilst I sing every song with passion..I do think some are too generic, old and dont have much rhythm or melody. The dele ali song is the best for this and thats why I think its sung a lot - it is a great song. Liverpool for example do have some great songs which I think influences more and more fans to get involved..their recent allez allez song is very catchy.

I think we need a new generic one that doesnt mention specific players that can be as big as 'oh when the spursssss'

anyone with any suggestions?

anohter player one though..my mate sung this to me at the weekend which was quite fun.

SISSOKO
OHHH
Always believe in your soul
You've got the power to score
You're indestructible, always believe in….

to the tune of....

Quite like that, mainly because Gold is one of my go-to's at karaoke.

Welcome to SC, by the way!

You can tell us more about yourself in the The Introduce Yourself thread, if you like:

Liverpool were singing another version of Allez in the 1970's. I think it started when they played St Etienne in the old European Cup in 1977, the night David Fairclough earned his supersub tag. They stole it from the St Etienne fans who were singing 'Allez le verts' and it became 'allez le rouge, allez le rouge, allez, allez'

I'm no expert in French but I'm pretty sure it's basically "come on you reds" :cautious:

Fucking kleptomaniacs :woot:

Sung to the tune of Guns N Roses' Welcome to the Jungle:

Welcome to North London, we got Son and Kane,
We got Rose and Eriksen in a brand new White Hart Lane,
We are the tip-top-Tottenham boys with the super Tottenham sound,
We got loads of money honey but we never spend a pound,

In North London, welcome to North London
Ledley only had one n-n-n-n-n-n-n-n-knee, knee
He played with one knee!

I'm gonna pitch my Lucas song again. To "Ruby" by the Kaiser Chiefs...

Lucas, Llucas, Lucas Moura
He's from Brazil and he's our scorer
Like Harry Kane but only shorter
Lucas, Llucas, Lucas Moura

As I said in the match thread, I though the atmosphere was amazing, although I was watching it on telly.

Anyone back from the match yet who can tell us how it was?

I miss the quirky player songs. “Stephen Carr my lord, Stephen Carr!”

Most of our sung songs don’t have a sense of humour, they’re dry as old toast

How do you even go about getting a new song started? The days of having a big group of mates get an area going, from what I can tell, are long gone. If needs to be led

We could do the Stephen Carr song for Harry Winks now. Or we could do it about the stadium...

White Hart Lane my lord, White Hart Lane,
Oh lord, White Hart Lane.

And repeat.

Think we proved tonight. Our singing is just fine.
It's during the less intense / critical games where it's important.

But, hopefully, the novelty of and excitement over the new stadium will help people see how the support helps the team and we'll find the crowd as engaged in the 'lesser' games too.
