doesnt have to play a game to be registerd by a club in europe, as long as they put him down at the start as a player they can play then we cant play him, or so that is my understanding of it

well that's true but my suspicion is the reason he hasn't played is cos Hertha didn't qualify

jsut had a quick look about and couldnt see them having played a UEFA cup game this year, so that could well be the reason

I'm with you on the Gunter/Gilberto tip DC

Cerny

Hutton Dawson Kaboul Gunter

Lennon Huddlestone O'Hara Gilberto

Bent Keane

I know Dawson & Kaboul is a nightmare paring & I'm banking on Bent being fit, but that's the team I'd pick and Derby can't score for toffee. Allowing JJ, Berbatov, Malbranque and Chimbonda to get some rest on the bench.

It's a toughie for JR - I'd rest even more - eg Chimbonda in for Daws as he's on 4 yellows ditto Hudd so bring in Boateng

but it's easy for me to come out with this sort of stuff - we just have to trust JR to strike a good balance twixt Sat and the massive games we have coming up

Well done, Gunter and Wales! It was a shame to watch that game. Norway were so poor, and Hareide's teambuilding is not good.

He uses the wrong players, and I cannot understand that the likes of Elyounussi can be involved already now!

Tettey should also play more regular, aswell as Ciljan.

We have some good youngsters to use, but he do not want to use them yet.

gunter reminds me of dennis irwin. tough little bugger who enjoys getting stuck in and plays on both sides.

one of wales senior players last night as well. could well be captain by the time he hits his early twenties.

That's some praise.

Irwin was a favourite player of mine a few years ago, and if Gunter ends up anywhere near as good as him we'll have a great player on our hands.

Really hope so.

I agree with the Irwin comparisons!!! He's just 'one of those players' nothing flash, just goas about his jobs efficiently and consistently.

Irwin had a bit of flash, he was however a very cautious player, which isn't a bad thing, also had a decent freekick on him, leave that to Bale though! ;)

IF we had someone as strong as defensively as Iriwn, but who knew how to overlap, we would be in dream land with our sidebacks! [And it looks like with Hutton, we ahve that on one side, less defensive though!]
