I listened to 'The Transfer Window' podcast earlier with Duncan Castles and Ian McGarry, they seem to think that Poch and staff are on 'gardening leave', still on the payroll until he goes elsewhere at which point they'd negotiate any settlement. Cited the wording 'relieved of his duties' rather than the usual 'dismissed' in the club statement.Severence isn't a lump sum - it'll be installments/wages that end as soon as/if clauses are hit (another job, for example).
That's how it works with PL managers, regardless of whether someone wants to believe it. Same as the "It'll cost £30m!", when it clearly didn't/won't.
It does sound like a Levy move to be honest.
