Spot on and Jose realised this which is why he was waiting for the right move this time and the timing couldn’t be much better for him to take the role at spurs tbh.Indeed everyone keeps bringing up his time at Yanited, but the fact is he should never have taken that job when he did. The infighting at boardroom level was absurd at the time, but I guess it was too big a job to turn down.
Spot on haha they’re shitting themselves about us finally getting over the line and winning something and if/when we do the club will only go in one direction, levy has been building the platform the last 15-20 years we just need that first trophy to have the belief we are finally a big club and can win things. No one better than Jose to try and get us over the line.I’m just trying to get my head around this.
Poch in charge, rival fans “never won anything, not a world class manager”.
Poch sacked “terrible decision, brilliant manager, needed more time blah blah blah”.
I mean, they all wanted Emery out a while ago with Jose replacing him.Arsenal fans are actually really pissed off with this, had so many sly comments about Mourinho from them and predicting the usual doom and gloom but now they seem really angry and I think the anger is directed at their board because they are not showing any ambition by keeping Emery around whilst we are by hiring Jose.
They are the biggest club in the world. Are they? I’d say real and Barca are bigger? They are the biggest club in the world. If United wants you, you dont turn them down.

also regardless of that he came 2nd at Utd to peps 100pt man.city and he won 3 trophies so hardly a massive failure especially compared to how all other managers have done since fergie.

I've read comments from several countries and teams. The general consensus is that we were very disloyal and believed our own hype. That we'll be back to mediocrity, specially after Mourinho fights everyone in the next months
This movement has made us one of the hated teams. We were one of the admired (no opinion in this. I actually read this quote)
It just demonstrates one thing, they're only being honest about him once he's gone.I’m just trying to get my head around this.

I'll be watching through closed hands, behind the sofa, in another room, with the sound turned whilst drinking 2 bottles of finest Claret.
I don’t know Puff. His style to me has been to completely drop a number of players from the squad in his spell here.Puff Daddy wrote: ↑

True to form, he is going to keep faith in Roberto in goal. This man takes stubbornness to a whole new level
We will do well to keep it to just a 3 goal defeat.TommyHammer wrote: ↑

Dreading this game so much. Does anyone have any hope we'll get a result? I know you can't predict this fixture, but I honestly cannot see anything other than a Tottenham win tomorrow.
At the end of last season someone pointed at the XGoals we allowed to be created and fired at Fab was one of the highest in the league, certainly the highest of those around us in the league. He had a great season which papered over the cracks of us allowing those sorts of opportunities. Faced with an inferior keeper (or even the same keeper in lesser form) we would naturally concede more goals. It was therefore asserted that we needed a partner for Rice in front of the defence and or some new recruits at the back to stop teams creating at will against us. This didn't happen and to an extent we are paying the price for it.wivenhoetim wrote: ↑

Think he’s caught between a rock and a hard place with the keeper situation.. I think he has to persevere with Roberto. For me the call is the keepers to make and sure Pelle has approached it as such. If Roberto feels right I’d go with it. It’s a confidence thing for me, if it were solely based on performance we’d be fielding a team of two!! As others have said there are many others who are just as culpable but their mistakes are obviously less noticeable !!!!
Well he doesn't do average, does he?
Let's hope it is cult and not a similar alternative.
agreed. need to get behind him and try and instal some confidence in him.Row X wrote: ↑

Think he has to play Roberto.
What if he drops Roberto and then Martin makes a clanger in this game? Who do we play next week at Chelsea?
Roberto owes his manager, his teamates and us the fans a performance... if he doesn't deliver tomorrow, then fair enough he needs to be dropped.
What we need is to get behind him... not the ironic cheers he was getting at Burnley when he made a save or took a simple catch after his error. It's a bit muggy and not West Ham
We’ve had nothing but dogs abuse from rival clubs for years - the admiration lasted a very short honeymoon period in our couple of Poch seasons before we moved to Wembley. Not only do I not give a flying fuck what the rest of the football world thinks of us, it’s a myth that we were liked anyway.
Man United fan at work keeps sloping round to my desk trying to wind me up that I'm positive about Mourinho. Didn't like it when I said imagine what Mourinho could do with Kane in his team as he is better than Drogba. Also didn't like it when I said we are probably being bank rolled by Jeff Bezos now.
I said this tongue in cheek on twitter earlier, next season it'll be the amazon stadium!
