Anyone seen the latest incoherent ramblings from Charlie Nicholas on his “end of season grades”?
I wasn’t expecting a literary masterpiece, especially from a grown man with an earring, but you would’ve thought the Sky editors might’ve read through it before publishing.... I guess it must be harder to proof read when it’s written with crayons?

“Tottenham - C
When I saw them qualifying for the Europa League, I thought that was weird. Am I jealous being an Arsenal fan? No, not really. Spurs have always had this thing about Arsenal finishing above them, and in the last few seasons they've reversed the roles. That was because they were a much better team than Arsenal - but they're not much better than them now.

Jose Mourinho's target was to get into the Champions League, not the Europa League. That's what this stadium was built for; there's problems defensively, he doesn't know what his best partnership is at the back, and can they keep Harry Kane?

I don't think some of the players have adapted to his way. But in judgement of the season they've had, it's been up and down, pretty average.”

I thought I’d give Charlie a grade in return....
When I saw Charlie had qualified for a more central role as a Sky Sports pundit, I thought “that’s weird, he can barely speak English”. Am I jealous, being a Spurs fan? No, but as someone who can construct a sentence & use punctuation, I’m insulted.

This year, Charlie’s target was to propel himself to the forefront of cutting edge football punditry, not to make a tit out of himself by overusing the same old cliches every week. There’s problems upstairs too, he doesn’t know his arse from his elbow, and will he ever get rid of that earring?

I think some of the other pundits have adapted to his way though, Merson’s considering getting a Prince Albert.

A+ at being a bellend.
"Spurs have always had this thing about Arsenal finishing above them" is he for real lol those sad fucks even came up with a name for it they're that obsessed. Guy is an absolute cock.

Was pretty pissed at Match of the Day selling Kane, essentially saying he's too good for us.

You could tell Shearer was slightly uncomfortable in that discussion though, which is hardly surprising given what he chose to do with his career.

Arsenal invented ST totteringham day if anything they were the ones with obsession about who finished above who .
Most of us were resigned thru the Wenger years to finishing behind them because they were simply better than us .
It just goes to reinforce what most of us think about Nicholas but he is proving to be more bitter about us finishing above them pretty sad man really .

Charlie Nicholas‘ rant about glasses with Jeff Stelling sums him up.. I’m ‘sitting here thinking’ he’s a complete tool

Cant argue with any of that, apart from Lucas perhaps but only because Mourinho seems to like him

What exactly are you disagreeing with. I know I’m about to open myself up to abuse but if you’re going to bitch about someone have a point. I don’t see to much wrong with his statement bar no talking on our midfield being the problem or that The Who finishes higher is mutual. I’m not disagreeing with him being a twat just make it relevant

Seems to me that any pundit who banters Spurs with an opinion, especially in this case where its gooners, is a **** but when we do it we're good old boys and it's hilariously funny. We love doing it. That's why there's all those 'lets laugh at' threads in General Football.

If their opinions are bollocks and they generally are, let he who's never posted a load of bollocks cast the first stone. Any takers? I'm pretty sure not :D Some people can dish it out but can't take it I guess.

They get paid to post opinions, nobody gives a shit what those are as long as they keep it PC. Except on the internet where being angry and ****ing people off is fast becoming a national sport

Who is we? Which Pundit does it in favor of 'Us'? (genuine question)

This used to bother me (the pundits/media) thing but having been told by plenty on here, including yourself, that neither is there a bias and that if those 'legitimate' views bother me as a fan so much the simple thing is to not listen to them or read them.

I have done this, but our own fans now share them as fact ... It's hard to get away from them it seems.

Not only limited to football, either is it?

What a world we live in.

We is we, us, you know this.

Who really cares which pundit says nice things or not, certainly not many on here but if you must have an answer, it's pretty evenly spread, most of them do, even the so called ****s occasionally let something slip. But that's not where focus is, where's the **** in that? it's the hunt to **** that matters. oooh look what he said, I don't agree, what a ****.

But yeah, what a world we live in.

I'm taking this approach to the summer window as well as the cricket thread - let's forge ahead and smite down the ****s.

I'm getting my mock Hugh Hefner smoking jacket and pipe, Sunday shall be a good day.

Well if you phrase it as is Harry Kane too good to be playing for a club in the qualifying rounds of the Europa League next season. Then yes he is...

The days of the same 4 teams qualifying for the CL every season are over. Everyone will take their turn outside and players (and fans) will have to get used to it.

I suspect that we get bad press is because most of the journalists and pundits have all been on the end of a Jose verbal lashing and they don’t like him and just can’t wait to see him fail which u fortunately falls back on the club

It's more to do with how easy it is to get under our fans' skin, I would've thought.
