OK so what's the accepted ratio for SC? Is there one? I ask because if there is, I haven't seen it. And if there is, are they spared the ritual slagging? Because I haven't seen that either

There is no acceptable ratio for the slagging off of our team, only spurs fans are allowed to do that.

I don’t mind Charlie Nicholas’ dislike for us - I quite enjoy his bitterness.

His mention of Mourinho seemed a bit odd though - like there’s something a bit personal there. Merson makes partisan comments all the time but he tries to explain them - although he sometimes ties himself in knots in doing so. I can imagine Merson engaging with fans who respectfully disagree with him. On the other hand Charlie Nicholas’ comments often come across as the shouty ranting of a rather unhappy man, who would just get ultra defensive if challenged. He needs to have a wank and a bar of chocolate.

If offering opinions is a crime, we're all pundits on here and we all talk shit. For some reason doing it on here is OK, but on TV isn't. Can you imagine if this place didn't have rules and the same criteria applied? The unchecked vitriol, just for saying something someone else doesn't agree with would eat this site for breakfast
