Who is better

I have a confession. I looked on another spurs forum. I know I know I'm sorry Spurscommunity she meant nothing to me.

I read an article, if you could call it that, along the lines of sell Gomes, sell Assou Ekotto, sell Hutton and sell Crouch. A couple of those I agree with, but it made me think who currently could we realistically attract who is better than what we already have?

Goalkeeper:

Rene Adler
Diego Lopez
Hugo Lloris
Manuel Neur

All highly rated, in demand and would be hard to attract. Are they better?

Left back:

I'll be honest I can't think of too many better options than Assou Ekotto. Vertonghen who I know isn't a regular left back, but is the best option I could think of who wasn't young and up and coming.

Right Back:

Apart from a few younger players like Vsarljko and totally unrealistic options like Lahm I'm a bit stumped.

I don't know what other people think? Any other options?

At right back that Walker fella at Villa looks handy..

But I'm happy with Gomes, Hutton/Charlie and Ekotto at the moment as there isn't much better and available.

Gomes is just in a run of poor(ish) form, only idiots with short memories would want to replace him.

Kyle Walker will replace Hutton.

Benny is the don, he stays. Coentrao and Cissokho are very good but attainable? I'm not sure. Worth it? I'm not sure, Benoit is ridiculously underrated.

Crouch can be replaced easily, obviously not with a like for like striker.

I can't make my mind up on Cissokho as his form is so erratic.

Just watched the highlights of Walker. Looked good.

I don't think we need to replace Benny, but I certainly think he needs some competition for his place.

Cudicini's contract ends this year, doesn't it?

I'd like Kasper Schmeichel as Gomes' understudy.

I wouldn't replace Gomes for a brick wall measured to fit the goals dimensions.

srna at rb instead of corluka or hutton.

ekotto is excellent there are very few better than him.

gomes wins us far more points than his occasional lapses of judgement lose us

How about Van Der Wiel in at right back? Especially if we get suarez too.

he does look pretty good, but I think he will want to be playing 1st team football whether it is at a lower premier league team (if leeds go up), or even still in the championship for a little while longer.

I don't think he's an upgrade on Benny. True, you'd be spared the 'WTF?!!!?' heart-flutter moments when Benny does his Timmy Toobs schtick, but that's about it.

Probably not as he's a RB, BAE needs competition/cover I'd love Coentrao but it'll never happen
