I think the thread is valid. Mourinho obviously can’t hack it and his football style is far to negative for most Spurs fans. My prediction is Spurs will be the first job he quits.
Who walks on a £15m per year contact?
Give your head a wobble.

I would like to see Woody and Keane, not sure if they ready yet thou, Boro is also on a horrid run at the moment.

maybe in 5 or 6 years time.

But I do want Mourinho to be successful with us, stay with us for the next 5 or so seasons, build on the foundations laid by Poch and team.

It doesnt matter who the manager is we still would be in a crisis. Are two best matchwinners are injured while our midfield still influx, 90% of sides in world football would be fucked. We need to stay strong, get behind our team and ride out the storm.

Even by SC standards, there is some impressive bedwetting going on here. Don't like the thread? Don't read/post. I remember a similar thread about Poch getting the treatment too, and look what happened there.

It's a legitimate question. I'd be happy for Jose to see out his contract, and would be delighted if he manages to secure some decent signings in the summer and moves us forward. But given the current feeling over prospects for that, and Jose's recent history, it'll be no great surprise if that doesn't happen.

Someone Dutch please.

I guess for me the reason why the thread is pointless is Jose is nowhere near leaving so talk of the next manager is a bit ridiculous. My guess is Jose stays at least 2 full seasons. I have no idea who will be available that far in advance and what squad we will have. I often think the manager appointment should be partly determined by if he is right for the players.

Outside of that is a generic Jose discussion and we already have a Jose thread plus numerous threads with newspaper reports with Jose at the centre to discuss our view of him.

Can you imagine the other clubs "Let's laugh at Spurs" threads. This has just given them all a massive laugh!

I wonder if there was a thread about Pochettino when he first joined Spurs as his record was far far far far worse than Mourinho's right now. I guess not, because he is a nice guy!

Please can we close this absolute embarrassment of a thread!

Right, so i am back, just had a chat with the misses, played with the kids and had a drink too.

This thread wasnt intended to be a dig at Jose but i feel it is important we look at who will take over him when he does eventually leave.

We have threads for player scouting, surely it would be good to have one for our next manager.

My understanding of football revolves around teams playing against Spurs, i dont follow other leagues, so it would be good to see what other options are out their.

I feel it's important to have a thread about who will replace the manager who replaces Mourinho when he leaves. So where do we draw the line as to when 'too early' or the right timing is?

Or

It really isn't important at all and for a number of reasons your thread would have been much better posted when the current manager has left. For me, the mood around here is dark enough without people adding to it with stuff like this.

All that's going to happen is (as we've seen) people are going to get irritated, spam the thread and all the rest of it, not to mention when Mourinho does leave someone else will start a thread and this one won't even be remembered.

It's not important, it's unnecessary. But it's here now. If people don't want it, they'll stop responding to it and it'll drift away.

For someone who's understanding of football is limited to Spurs opponents or doesn't follow other leagues I'm wondering how you come to some of your onions...........
Their appears to be a pattern in world football at the moment where teams that play well are the ones that that play brave, offensive, on the front foot and press high football.

c) Erik Ten Hag - I know this season they havent been great but he has had his team ripped apart. The football they played last season was sensational especially against Madrid and Juve.

d) Julian Nagelsmann - They are doing really well in the German league and i can see them reaching the semis of the champions league too.
Very strange.

But hey-ho, there's your opinion and now there's mine. Different strokes.

I am starting to have thoughts about Mourinho but at the same I still think he's the best manager for the squad we have. I don't think this squad would do well under Julian Nagelsmann. This squad is clearly mentally and physically weak and it would be completely depleted by Nagelsmann's ideas just like they became under Poch's ideas.

Mourinho should try to implement his killer mentality first (not just in the squad but the in the whole club) and rebuild. Once we are established and owner of a FA Cup trophy or something perhaps transition to someone more "progressive and up-to-date" like Nagelsmann.

Jesus fucking Christ.

More than a tad premature. Were you thinking it was important who was next when Poch was 100 days in?

Just back the current manager / head coach. He could be here for years.

I think we should have a 'Who replaces A&C when he hangs up his diamond and razor blade encrusted ban stick'. It will obviously have to be a despotic megalomaniac who likes to make people disappear who mildly irritate him. My top candidate would be Kim Jong Un.
