Goes :

Vorm : He is clearly unfit & we released him for that reason. Need to get a 3rd keeper (experienced or youth player)

Lamela : Great squad player. But he finishes 7th season at Spurs in summer. He plays only 50% of season and he has reached his potential. So, if there are better & available players, why not ditch Lamela ?

Rose : Want him sold this Jan window

Wanyama : Want him sold this Jan window

Vertonghen : Time's up for this gentlemen & my hero.

Dier : If Dier doesnt improve by end of season, I would sell him if there is a decent offer. We should target DMs who are upgrade to him - like Thomas Partey.

Foyth : As much as I love to see him succeed at Spurs, it seems he needs more experience. I would send him on loan (not sell)

I kinda agree with this also Vertonghen and Rose with a heavy heart but definitely moreso with Vertonghen. Id keep him but as a back up but dont think he wants that.

Lamela - I really like him but he is either injured or not as effective as he could be. I do like his ability to keep the ball and play those little intricate passes. I would keep him as a bench warmer but dont think he would want that.

Rose !

Enough is enough. There are fans out there slaving 30/40/50 hours a week for £20/£30k per annum and this bloke squeeling how hard done by he is every other week is really starting to grate.

Me, me, me.

Lloris, Gazzaniga, HG 3rd GK
Aurier, Aarons
Davies, New LB
Alderweireld, Sanchez, Tanganga, New CB
Winks, Gedson, Ndombele, Sissoko, Dier, NEW DM
Dele, Lo Celso, Lamela, Son, Lucas, Sessegnon, Clarke, Bergwijn
Kane, Piatek

That's a pretty sound structure and work with going into a new era right? Get Bergwijn and Piatek in this window and I make that 5 new arrivals in the summer, 1 being HG 3rd choice GK who we could probably bag for next to nothing if we wanted. Skipp, Cirkin and Parrott all out on loan.

See we may have offered Milan choice of Lamela or Foyth as part of Piatek deal. I’d sooner hang onto Lamela and move Moura out, we look really badly balanced when Moura starts and particularly when he starts with Dele.

Agree. I see Sessegnon as a LB, but other than that I would agree to that being a well balanced setup. I would almost argue too many senior players. I think senior players like Sissoko and Dier need to feel they are more than just someone that will play when there is 19 injuries. If they are good enough to properly fight for a place in the team at that age I think we are better off with slightly less depth - to avoid it influencing the atmosphere in the squad.

Kane is a legend, he is getting old, getting big inuries regularly, he states he wants to win trophies and i am not sure Spurs will win him any trophies as the clubs first priority is to have a good revenue first and trophies a bonus. For us to be challenging for top trophies again, we will need to sell in order to buy. £130 million for kane could allow us to buy 3 or 4 very good players.

For us to get back to where poch had us, we need to 4 or 5 top players.

Will son want to play europa next year?

He's 26 ffs. I wish I was that 'old'. He hasn't even reached his prime yet.

I am 99% certain that he has played his best football. This idea that football players reach their prime in their late 20s isn't in my opinion correct (generally speaking).

That said Kane can still have 6-8 very solid years left in him. Even if his "prime" is past.

Don't know where to start with this to be honest. His scoring record this season was still great, despite the absolute shitshow around him. If we were playing in anyway comparable to the way we were 2 years ago, he'd have bagged even more.

He's what? 26?

TWENTY SIX!

His prime, he's probably just coming into it. We're shite, have been for over a year - Harry's still banging the goals in.

Jesus Christ!

Some of the comments on here ref Kane are funny. Too many injuries, can't rely on him blah blah.

He doesn't get a break unless he injured. Once we have a second striker injuries will be less

At the point of typing, our squad is as such:

Lloris Gazzaniga Vorm
Aurier
Walker Peters
Alderweireld Tanganga Foyth
Vertonghen Sanchez
Davies
Sessegnon Rose
Ndombele Winks Dier Wanyama
Lo Celso Sissoko

Dele Gedson
Lucas Lamela
Son

Kane Parrott

Highlighted are the non Home Grown players (CL definitions, and Foyth is on the B List this season), of which there are currently 18 and we are allowed 17; this is before we add Bergwijn and a striker, both of which seem likely in the coming days. That leaves 3 needing to be removed this week. Striker in with Parrott out on loan seems obvious enough. Wanyama is a very obvious next choice, and if I had to pick a third I'd go with Vorm just being left out of the CL squad altogether (he'd still be fine for PL purposes due to Davies counting as HG there and Foyth being u21).

Then it looks likely that KWP is off, which with Tanganga's emergence and Aurier's improvement is far more acceptable, and Rose too which is long overdue. I also think we should either sell Foyth or loan him out in hope that he develops, as currently he's not good enough but we can't afford him the minutes.

Therefore, for the remainder of the season I'm happy with the following remaining from our current squad:

Lloris Gazzaniga Vorm*
Aurier Tanganga
Alderweireld Sanchez Vertonghen
Davies Sessegnon
Ndombele Winks Dier
Lo Celso Sissoko
Dele Gedson
Lucas Lamela
Son
Kane

* PL only, not CL.

Then, in the summer, I'd like to see Dier, and Vertonghen leave. Two players I've loved but I've lost faith in their ability to continue at the required level, to be replaced with an out and out right back with a view to moving Tanganga to CB more definitively, and a top quality defensive midfielder. Either a returning Foyth or, more likely, a good player to push either Alderweireld down the pecking order, or someone more experienced to come in while Tanganga develops. Aurier, much will depend on how he performs till the end of the season, but I'll be an optimist and assume he ends the season as an acceptable RB option. I also feel the time will have come to see Lamela moved on and again, replaced, as well as Vorm for good this time. For the sake of not giving us too much to do and also because ones leadership and the others professionalism, I'd keep the other two goalies and supplement it with the best veteran English goalie with top flight experience we can attract.

Therefore, from the current crop I'd like the following players to be part of the Mourinho overhaul and still be here come 07 August when the new season kicks off:

Lloris Gazzaniga *****
Aurier *****
Sanchez Alderweireld Tanganga *****
Davies Sessegnon
Ndombele Winks
Lo Celso Sissoko
Dele Gedson
Lucas *****
Son *****
Kane *****

Apart from the obvious to be sold I’d add Dier, slow and ponderous as a midfielder and don’t particularly rate him as a CB either. Young enough and being an English international we should get a decent fee, before he does his reputation And price tag more harm with his poor displays.

Sold: Wanyama, Rose, Dier (only keep him if he would actually go back to a CB)

Loan: KWP, Foyth, CCV and unless he is going to play Skipp.

I rather we keep Lamela and Foyth than getting Piatek. Would be incredibly stupid for us to trade either of them for Piatek (which is the reason I'm inclined to believe we might just do it).

Not prepared to pay their fee, so offering a player reduces what we'll have to pay.

I can't believe we'd even consider it. Piatek's YouTube highlights looks like Sissoko with his laces tied together. Row Z Won't have had as much action since the Zamora days.

Looks as though we are rapidly heading towards and more familiar Mourinho 4-3-3 with the players we are looking at. I think that will probably mean a big summer of change with the following staying:

Lloris/Gazzaniga

Aurier/New RB Sanchez/New CB Alderweirld/Tanganga Davies/Sessegnon

Winks/New CM

Lo Celso/New CM Ndombele/Fernandes

Bergwijn/Lucas Kane/New CF Son/Alli

With Foyth, Skipp, Parrott and Clarke being loaned out.

That would probably mean to players leaving would be: Walker-Peters, Vertonghen, Rose, Dier, Wanyama, Sissoko and Lamela. That represents a massive change in the squad but fits with what Jose usually like to have; 2 players for each position, pace, and power
